Food was average. Could use some work on the presentation.. ex: soup spilled down side of cup, pot roast plate watery, spinach artichoke dip shriveled on edges. Taste of all the food was decent though. Fireplace made it cozy and warm. Server was attentive. Ok spot to dine while passing through but we probably wouldn’t make it a point to return. It’s attached to a lodge. Was surprised to see a pool while walking to the bathroom. Liked the variety of trinkets and souvenirs they had for sale. Fun to look around.

The restaurant and the lodge are top tier! We had such a friendly experience. Not just that, every question was answered with a smile! The facilities are tremendously beautiful in a northern motif! The room was new and fresh. The beds are very comfortable. The shower is big, clean and efficient. There are ample towels. From the front desk to the dining room, I have never had such friendly and joyful service. We bought a ton of stuff from the gift shop!
Our waitress, Melissa, in the dining room, and Kayla, Michelle, and Terra at the front desk, were marvelous in every way!I honestly have not had such a wonderful stay anywhere!

This was my first time eating at this restaurant. Ribs were fall off the bone delicious. My rosemary chicken sadly was very dry. Bread, I believe, was homemade, very soft, and so very good. Potatoes were good, sweet potatoes, amazing and tasty. The dinner salad with ranch was amazing!! Pepsi products are served. I had Rootbeer. Our server was completely on top of everything. He couldn’t have done a better job. Overall, with the exception of the chicken, it was a great experience.

We went for dinner on a Sunday. It was pretty slow that night. The service was good but not great. The food was pretty good I got the ribeye. The fried pickles were very good . I would recommend this place to eat. They had a cool gift shop as well.

Fish and chips ok. Pulled pork tacos skimpy on pulled pork. Cheese overload. Waiter seemed to be bothered by everything. Very disappointing. Cross this place off the list.

We always pass this place driving up north. We got stuck in a snow storm and decided to whether the weather here.
It was a very welcomed stop. Had a warm and cozy feeling with the decorations and fireplace going. Staff was very very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious with great portions. This will now be a have to stop place!

Went here just for exploration around west branch.

Walking in it definitely looks like a cabin. It’s beautiful. And attached to quality inn hotel.

So if you’re staying there super convenient. She’ll gas station right in the parking lot as well, so super convenient for all around travel.

Now let’s get into the food:

My party of four had the big axe burger, pulled pork nachos, regular cheese burger, spinach artichoke dip, fried pickles.

The food was pretty good actually. Here’s the break down:
Fried pickles: huge long spears. So hard to eat because the pickle comes right out. But juicy. So cut with a knife and fork. Fellow ranch snobs: ranch was damn good.

Artichoke dip: chips were a little dry. But homemade and still tasted good. Dip was smooth and cheesy and we all enjoyed it. Had great flavor.

Pulled nachos: sauce was sweet so if sweet sauce isn’t your cup of tea then indont recommend but the pork was soft and yummy. The chips def tasted like cafeteria chips but with the sauce I was good.

The axe burger was massive: crisp toasted bread, char broiled burger though. Different cheese but good.

Regular burger same thing. The menu said fresh beef but they definitely tasted frozen. The meat was slightly silky in texture.

For dessert we got the strawberry shortcake: had fresh homemade whip cream. Berries were sweet and cake was soft.

The brownie Sunday was huge like the other, soft brownie ice-cream was yummy and whip cream again wonderful.

Prices weren’t bad. Check out the pics.

Waitress was sherry. Very kind and was wonderful. 🙂 will def go again when in the area.

If you’re looking for a dining experience that exceeds all expectations, Lumber Jack Food & Spirits is the place to be. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with warmth and a cozy atmosphere that instantly set the tone for a fantastic meal.

We started with the sweet potato fries appetizer, and let me just say, these were next-level amazing—crispy, perfectly seasoned, and served piping hot. Then came the entrées. I had the Jack Attack Mac and Cheese, and it was everything comfort food dreams are made of—rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. My boyfriend had the pot roast, which was tender, hearty, and seasoned to perfection. Every dish we ordered went above and beyond what we were expecting.

A big shoutout to Melissa, our server, who made the experience even better. Her upbeat and bubbly personality, paired with her friendly and attentive service, truly elevated our visit. She made us feel right at home and ensured everything was nothing short of fabulous.

We can’t wait to come back up north and explore more of the menu because if this visit is anything to go by, we’re in for a treat every single time. Lumber Jack Food & Spirits has definitely earned a spot as one of our favorite places to eat!

This is a really neat place to stop and eat if traveling. The food is good, not great. My burger seemed to be a basic store bought patty. The Mac and cheese stuff was great and of course cheese curds you can’t go wrong with. I will be back again at some point to try a few other food options and update my review. Service was friendly. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is very unique. It’s a smaller version of Big Buck Brewery in my opinion, but with all sorts of neat gifts and trinkets you can purchase.
