So I ordered from this place under my ex partner’s account. The first time I ordered, I called and said what I wanted in the vegetable soup and it was honestly amazingly delicious. So I ordered again a few days later and I didn’t call but when it arrived, it wasn’t good. I wanted to order again a few days after so I called asking for recommendations and a lady answered and my goodness she was rude and had very poor service. I was explaining to her that I loved the vegetable soup the first time, expressed that I had okra soup and ogbono before – not from there and I loved it so I’m open to whatever she would recommend. She then told me to just go and order something because she is selling and will tell me that everything is good… anyways I ended up not ordering because of her attitude so tonight now I ordered on Uber Eats and mistakingly ordered Okra instead of vegetable sauce and called immediately to get it switched, of course she answered and of course she said it was already ready and that’s fine but her tone is very unbecoming. Imagine not being from any African country and wanting to try foods and you receive poor customer service. This is why the google reviews are like this. She shouldn’t answer the phone she is even combative in the comments when she replies to reviews. Please put someone with great customer service on the phone and watch how different your business grow. The gentleman who answered my call on the first order was amazing and he should be the ONLY one on the phone.

My first and last visit to this location. The experience was extremely disappointing.
The customer service was poor, the lady taking my order was rude and clearly annoyed when I asked a simple question about what was included in the meal.
More seriously, the food quality was unacceptable. After driving an hour home, the Egusi Stew smelled overwhelmingly spoiled, and the texture was gritty. Like sand was in it!! This was a wasted two-hour round trip and a total disappointment. Don’t recommend this location. Buyer beware of the 3-star rating.

If you’re looking for something outside of the usual New England fare and want to try something different- this place is fantastic. If you like Caribbean food or Jamaican food you’ll love this place. I will say the flavors here are better than most Jamaican places – all of the dishes were bursting with flavor. The dining room is small but the woman who owns it greeted us and served us and she was about as nice as could possibly be. She served us some kind of red meat that was stewed with lots of tendons and cartilage – one of my personal favorite parts of beef – it was so delicious my daughter told me not to eat it all. Will def be going back!

This was my first time here and also having fufu. It was very good!

We ordered the pounded yam, okra sauce with goat meat added, a large pepper soup they kindly split in two bowls for my friend and I to share.

The sauce that comes with the fried plantain is AMAZING, pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the plantain. (I find it to be mild, but it may be a little spicy if you don’t typically prefer spicy food.) I had to ask for extra.

Wonderful service, they made sure we had everything we needed.

The staff is 100% rude but the amala was pretty decent 4/10. The ewedu was definitely not fresh!! I called last week Monday to place an order around 7pm for pick-up between 7:30-7:40pm. The lady was so rude and condescending over the phone and demanded that I arrived by 7:30pm. I was craving amala so I just accepted and made my way to pick-up. The way she grudgingly took my order was insulting. On the way, the staff called me rudely asking where I was, yelling that she was closing the store because she had to drive over an hour to get home in Framingham. I told the lady that their hours stated open till 8pm plus I was still within my proposed timeframe, even explaining that I met traffic along the way. She was loud and asked me to turn back. I had to beg her to let me get my order. Upon arrival she was so rude with no greeting or proper acknowledgment. I made sure to take my time to check my order after paying and she was disgustingly waiting by the door like I was bothering her. If you know you what a successful business, learn compassion and/or train your staff to value customers. I will not be returning!!!

Ordered egusi. I admit it looked like vegetable soup less of egusi but the owner came back and added more egusi! I’ll rate the food maybe 3/5. The tripe4.5/5 beef 4.9/5 and cow skin 3/5. The service was exceptional.

I bought the shrimp jollof rice, it is very tasty and fresh, the price is reasonable, but I got my food after a long wait. Highly recommended

I ordered takeout from this place, and the food was horrible. I wish I had tasted it before bringing it home, and it was the first time I drove almost an hour to that place. The customer service wasn’t great, but I didn’t care because I was craving African food. It was disappointing, and I ended up trashing the food. I don’t recommend it.

I appreciate having an African restaurant close by so I don’t have to go in to Boston anymore. The okra sauce with pounded yam & poff poff are my favorites. I usually order take out. It’s a good spot for satisfying my occasional cravings.

Have eaten here before and the food is always top tier, unfortunately I had an issue with door dash when ordering last night ,but they were very kind and understanding of the situation. They remade my entire order to make sure I had a great and positive experience
