My husband and me stopped in here a couple weeks ago to grab some food hadn’t been here for years and when we did go last timelike 7 years ago we turned around and walked out because it was so nasty from the moment you walked in the door. But it looked like it had been remodeled inside so we gave it a chance. when in there the girl at the counter and I don’t mean this to sound racist she was a color girl which doesn’t matter but they had the music blaring so loud you could not hear her talk to you over the counter and she could not hear us we told her that we had not been to Long John silver’s for a long time so we will need some time to look if you want to go do what you were doing so we can decide but instead she stood there impatiently staring at us waiting for us to order so we just ordered something real quick we sat there for quite a while waiting for our food and we had ordered it to go. We sat down and couldn’t even hear each other speak to each other across the table the music was so loud and the place was filthy. She finally brought us our food and had it on trays which we wanted it to go and when we told her she got an attitude. and even if we wanted to sit there and eat it was so loud we couldn’t do it. After we left we realized my husband’s food was burnt very badly he got a piece of fish and clams I got the two for five wraps which mine were okay but the things that had been fried tasted like they had been cooked in very old oil. corporate really needs to step up and get this place under control you should not have to go in somewhere and have the music so loud you can’t hear someone talking right next to you and the music was very inappropriate if I would have had young children with me and I would have been severely upset. Because it was upsetting to me. There’s a time and place for music like that and it ain’t in a public restaurant. And we don’t really realize it when we’re walking in but this place was extremely filthy also. And the pictures I took don’t do the filthiness of the place Justice and I didn’t get pictures of the other tables as we were walking out that were so bad I’m hoping it was refried beans smeared all over one of the tables and dried on that so bad that almost looks like dried on poop it was horrible and the sad thing is is there was nobody else in their eating and just a couple people at the drive-thru there was no excuse for it to be as dirty as it was even if they had been busy.

We were in Ft Smith and wanted to order online to get the bogo platter. Neither this LJS in Van Buren, AR nor the one in Ft Smith accepts online orders and does not participate in this Valentine special. We would have to drive 25 miles to Salisaw OK as they accept app online orders. Very disappointed. We ordered somewhere else. They lost our business. Why don’t they have online ordering like everyone else?

Absolutely the worst fish in 50 years. I walked into an empty store at 4 pm Sunday. I had to ask for service after standing at an empty counter for about 3 minutes. I ordered a two fish meal, and besides being overcooked, it was tough as rubber. I should have known better as it was already cooked ( probably from lunch) . I will not return to this store, and unfortunately, I don’t think long John’s silver will be around much longer. The store was empty, the drive thru was empty, and I saw crumbs on one table, with the floor looking like it hadn’t been cleaned in a week. 50 years ago, they were the best, but now the absolute worst. And to be perfectly clear I didn’t “feel let down ” I was totally disgusted by the overcooked rubbery fish planks, the disgusting fries as everything was sitting under the heat lamps and nothing was freshly cooked. Obviously, all leftover for hours. I didn’t bother to eat the Cole slaw as the poor quality of the fish and fries left me with a vote of no confidence overall. Management has FAILED!

Today I stopped in and the air conditioner was broken and 99 degrees outside.. These employees and a fry cook here were busting their butts off! They didn’t miss a beat… With NO A/C! They were so Polite! Fast! Hard working keeping the place clean, checking on people in the dining room, AND running outdoors for go-orders while under a heat advisory. I am posting a picture of the employee of the month plaque— because there’s no photo there! I think they need a photo of these employees today and they definitely deserve a bonus for sweating like hogs and working like horses to make money for the owner of the franchise and keeping smiles on the faces of the customers. I will be back simply because of these dedicated employees! The food was great! They deserve a raise…

BEST SEAFOOD AROUND. We were pleasantly surprised however we had to wait 45 minutes for our food. There was only one employee running the place or we saw one car in the lot. Either way it’s a skelton crew. I got chicken since I’m not a seafood eater but I tried my husband’s coconut shrimp and fell in love.

LJS is a very complex business to get right. The Van Buren store doesn’t even come close. The employees are used to things being dirty, broken, and subpar. Fish, chicken, French fries all cooked in one fryer which causes the oil to breakdown and just taste nasty. All deep fried food is so greasy, you could lube your car. The restaurant itself is old, but could be better if it’s just cleaned. It’s not. I’ve run restaurants for 30 years and this is one of the worst buildings I’ve ever seen.

Service was terrible, i wasnt allow 30 sec. to decide what i wanted. Guy at cointer was rub and all herd in the back was bad language. The place was dirty, tables ,floors. I will not come back!
