We came here with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday, and honestly, everything was perfect. The staff was super accommodating, helping us arrange the tables and making sure everyone was comfortable.

The energy in the restaurant is great — lively but not too loud. Perfect for a group gathering. Our server handled everything with ease, even though we were a big group with different orders. Drinks came out fast, and the food followed soon after.

Every single dish looked beautiful and tasted amazing. The appetizers disappeared in seconds, and the main courses were just as impressive. My personal favorite was the short rib — tender, juicy, and full of flavor.

We ended the night with a round of desserts and coffee, and they even surprised our friend with a little birthday treat on the house. Such a nice touch!

This place really knows how to make guests feel welcome. You can tell the team loves what they do. We all left smiling, full, and already planning to come back. Definitely a five-star experience from start to finish!

I have been here about 10x in the last 3 months. The proteins taste like they are really high quality. I love the sauces and the black rice! The mam who works her every time I go is friendly and always so appreciative for my business. I will go to this restaurant as long as it’s in business. The owner I believe hurt his knee and its been closed for 3 weeks now.

1. I hope he is ok. He seems like a stand up person.

2. I am missing my fix! However, you get yourself right 1st.

I didn’t even know this place is here, it was opened since September! The place was very clean and modern! I ordered the Hawaiian bowl! It was no brainer for me to choose what goes well together, they do it all for me! You get to choose white rice or black rice, I chose black rice(Korean sticky rice), and choice of miso or seaweed soup! All the veggies that came with the bowl were really fresh! I definitely will be back to try other bowls! The co-owner Philip was very helpful in helping me to decide which one to get! You can also choose from 8 different sauces! I got the ginger dip, it was very refreshing with the Hawaiian bowl!

My visit to Drop the Dop was truly memorable! From the moment I stepped in, the staff greeted me with warmth and hospitality, making me feel right at home. They went above and beyond to help me customize my bowl, ensuring that every ingredient was just right to create the perfect blend of flavors.

The ambiance of the restaurant was strikingly modern, with sleek decor that exuded a contemporary charm. The addition of lush green plants scattered throughout the space added a welcoming and inviting atmosphere, making it a delightful place to dine.

Now, let’s talk about the food – it was simply outstanding! Each ingredient looked impeccably fresh and vibrant, and the presentation was so enticing that it sparked my appetite instantly. And let’s not forget about the delightful addition of a small bowl of miso soup, which perfectly complemented the meal.

Despite the high quality and deliciousness of the food, I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability of the meal. With the total cost coming to around $12, it was not only a satisfying experience but also a great value for money.

As if that wasn’t enough, I was thrilled to receive a reward card that offered me a free meal after collecting 10 stamps. It’s gestures like these that truly demonstrate Drop the Dop’s commitment to customer satisfaction and loyalty.

In summary, my time at Drop the Dop was nothing short of exceptional. From the friendly staff to the modern ambiance, delectable food, and enticing rewards program, it’s safe to say that I’ll be returning again and again for more culinary delights!

I stopped by for a Hawaiian bowl, Power house bowl, and one of each of the soups. The food was all fantastic. The meat had a good flavorful sear but was still juicy. I would say the seaweed soup was slightly better than the miso soup, but you won’t go wrong with either. The food was a tremendous value for the price. The sauces, vegetables, meat and rice were well balanced and the flavors worked together really well. The owner, a charming young man local to the area is hard at work in the kitchen and serving his guests. He was kind and helpful.

I kept eating until I was overstuffed and still continued to pick the remaining meat out despite the pain it caused to continue eating.

It’s a wonderful lunch option and adds something new, unique and very tasty.
The restaurant is nicely designed and very clean. The kitchen which is visible from the cash wrap is spotless. The music is at an enjoyable level for you to hear the music yet also be able to converse with your table mates.
I don’t know what else I can say, but it was good enough for me to write a dissertation on it.

A wonderful restaurant with delightful owners!! In Lincolnshire for a show tonight and trying to find a place to get a quick bite. I wish we lived closer so we could stop in more frequently!

They have a bunch of different seating options and plenty of choices on the menu. My only suggestion would be to have a light/medium/heavy sauce option because my traditional house special had a bit too much sauce for my taste. But absolutely delicious and owners who are happy to answer your questions. Traditional and tofu were delicious with miso soup and fantastic prices!

Freshness of food 5/5
Is food tasty? Yes
Friendliness of staff 5/5

Is this place authentically Korean? I would say it’s a Korean fusion but the traditional Korean bibimbop had all the right ingredients to make it authentic. The sauce is sweeter than the typical gochujang that makes it fusion. For bibimbop’s complimentary soup you can choose between miso and seaweed soup. I chose seaweed soup that went well with the bop and felt authentic to me.

The exciting part for me was that they sell Sikhe (Cinnamon) drink. I may have to try it sometime.

I’m Korean and I love bibimbop. I’ve tried other fusion bibimbop places that are popping up these days, which are pretty good (bc I love bibimbop). I went to Drop the Bop during their soft opening and this place is the best fusion bibimbop place by far. They tried their best to keep the authentic bibimbop veggie ingredients as much as possible (kale, cheese, and potatoes do NOT belong in bibimbop!!) and added the fusion kick to it. Fresh veggies, fresh taste and their grilled chicken and spicy pork is soooooo good!! I heard their sauces are all homemade the chef, which is one of the owners. Personal recommendation for the sauce combo – spicy k sauce and carpaccio. You get a choice miso soup or seaweed soup.. both are good but try the seaweed soup!!! They also have korean chips and drinks to pair with your bowl. Must try!!!
