14Nov2025 2pm During lunch. It takes a lot for me to change my mind. However “Joy and Antionio ” were sandwich-machine-making monsters today.

The bootlegger was miscommunicated with no tomato in five minutes joy pumped out five sandwiches and was ready to make another.

There is a new identification for “freaky, fast”.

They definitely appreciated their tip, and thanked- me.

The miscommunication was recommunicated back to me with an apologetic tone and a free sandwich… Or free sandwiches in this case

The bootlegger sandwich was outstandingly fresh.

Joy also offered a difference of cheese.If we needed it or wanted it.

For the service and the product, the price was more than acceptable.

Very energetic environments with Electrodance music playing in the background.

Highly recommend this location during the hours of 2pm in-person.

What was extremely enjoyable was the attitude and tone of this location.

Final thoughts, everybody has a bad day, but in this case, this was an extremely good day.

Went in and got a couple sandwiches. Asked for NO CHEESE on a sandwich, which they were able to type it in but not execute. Now Im sitting in the hospital with my wife who is ALLERGIC to CHEESE. Called and talked to a “manager” who hung up on me while explaining the situation.

DoorDash said they closed at 9:00 on Saturday. I ordered at 8:45 because DoorDash said it was fine. 30 minutes later they canceled my order. While the driver was waiting for the food. Today we ordered from DoorDash. Paid for extra avocado on one sub and didn’t get it. Paid for four brownies only got one. Paid for four chips only got one. Found hair in our roast beef sandwich. Short black and curly, so it doesn’t match anyone in my house full of blondes and brunettes.

This place is a joke. The kid they call a manager is super rude. They refuse to give you any kind of refund when they mess up your order, which is about 85% of the time. All they want to do is “take your name down and give you a credit on your next purchase”. Apparently the owner doesn’t seem to care since its still going on. This place needs to have their franchise revoked! I remember when it used to vibe subs so fast you’ll freak. Well not at this location!

Definitely writing off Jimmy John’s, especially the McHenry location.
Based 5% on the fact they forgot to make my order, and 95% on the manager’s response to my issue. A company can make a mistake, but how they handle it speaks volumes. Their dismissive attitude and unprofessional response have left a bad impression.

Customer service matters, and unfortunately, this experience has shown me that they don’t prioritize it.

Placed on August 4, 2025 at 1:51 PM Drove to and arrived at the store 2:15…..order not there waited 10 more minutes and finally asked, that’s when they begun to make order………Saw at least 6 people working, 0 people in line. 0 other orders sitting on the shelf. Don’t understand. Jersey Mike’s does not do this, I order & pay online for speed and convenience, this was neither. AND>>>>>>>>>> why do you ask for tip?? These are not waiters providing a service, people just doing their job, or in this case not doing their job. Will also post as a google review.

We are sorry for your order took longer than you were expecting. Our team was hard at work on delivery orders and restocking after lunch rush, which is normal for our business. When placing a pick up order, you will be notified via our app or email when your order is ready, so you don’t have to wait in the store. In addition, if you say hello to us when you walk in, we will make your order for you right away.
We do not appreciate you assuming people were not doing their job. We are not Jersey Mike’s, and we have a very different business model. A majority of our business is made on delivery, which is what we were primarily working on when you placed your order. I hope you can reconsider posting your Google review, as you are misinformed as to why your order had fallen behind.

I RESPONDED:
Dear Michael,
I want to clarify that I never stated I assumed people were not working. What I actually observed was six staff members in the store with zero customers in line. My concern was solely about the delay in my order, not about any assumptions regarding staff availability.
Additionally, I noticed that my online order was delayed while you state priority seemed to be given to the delivery orders, which I find unprofessional and unacceptable. The tone of your response and your dismissive attitude will not influence my decision to remove an honest review.
Had you offered a sincere apology or a refund, I might have reconsidered. However, it should not take 25 minutes to prepare two sandwiches when six people are available to do so—that’s not the level of service I expect from a “fast food” restaurant.
Furthermore, I was not misinformed; I simply stated that I did not understand why my order was not ready. Your excuse about staff or timing is unprofessional and frankly disappointing.

No Dianna, I will not apologize for my staff doing their jobs. You have no idea if the delivery orders they were working on were also delayed, and scheduled ahead of yours. Again, you are assuming things and are wrong.
So I do not appreciate you telling me I have a bad attitude when you have no idea what you are talking about, and no, you may not have a refund.

Ordered sandwiches on the app; requested each be cut in 1/2 and added names to each order. Picked the up, got home, none weee cut in 1/2 and no names. Called the store and was told there was nothing they could do, and hung up.

Over years past, my wife and I have always enjoyed the sandwiches at Jimmy Johns. We have ordered from other JJ’s and everything was good except at this Jimmy’s. Very dispointed by far! We had ordered two 18 inch Vito subs. Very little meat and cheese. I could not believe the cost per sub for what I paid for! Also, the edges of the salumi were dried! I could have given just one star instead of two, but things have changed everywhere with the high cost of products. I just don’t like the fact that prices get raised and not much is given! The picture of the sub is their picture so trust me when I say this, “They do not look like it at all!” Sorry Jimmy, you guys really need to do better!

Update: So, after this review JJ responded and ask me to share this feedback with them. I did, but wouldn’t you think that they would at least want to make up for the quality of the sandwiches or comp me in some way? Well, that did not happen! Take the hint Jimmy! Now you get one star!
