Really welcoming and polite during the ordering process.
Food was absolutely dreadful. Im really sorry to say as I hate leaving poor reviews but we ordered a chicken tilka masala which was like tomatoe puree and water. Shame as previous curry a while back was decent.

placed order 5:18pm get 6:55pm anyway..i call restaurant 2times the staff ignore me..and poor packaging all food mix together oily and quite messy. really unacceptable very bad experience today….

I have used this restaurant many, many times over the past 15 years and it was always good food, the decor was somewhat dated. I attempted to get food last night which was a painful experience.
Ordered via the curry house website for delivery, received notification that it would be 60 mins, 70 mins later my food is on the way. 90 mins later the 1st phone call was made enquiring where our meals would be. 5-10 mins was tge reply, it took nearly 5 minutes of repeating the postcode several times, with the restaurant worker clearly not listening.
Phone call received asking where I was, upon replying the restaurant hung up abruptly. Ignored call back for a short while.
10 mins later no food, another call made, postcode given several times, a three way conversation between the chap at the restaurant and a driver who I would imagine was the otherside of Bristol, gave the postcode twice more, things are looking up.
15 mins later my patience was gone.
Upon going to the restaurant to get my money back i was relieved, restaurant was completely empty, cleanliness clearly doesn’t feature anymore. The carpet should only be on a bonfire. The place smells. A shame as it was once very good.
Can’t rate the food as i refused it. Everything else a 1 star is generous.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. Hygiene standards were extremely poor — the place had an unpleasant smell that made it uncomfortable to dine there. What concerned me most was the lack of basic cleanliness and food safety awareness.

The customer service was equally bad. When we asked the waiter to bring empty glasses for water, he carried them by placing his fingers inside the glasses, which is completely unhygienic and unacceptable in any food establishment.

Overall, the restaurant shows little to no concern for cleanliness or proper service. I would not recommend this place to anyone who values hygiene and basic customer care.

Ordered online through uber eats – order onion bhaji starters – so dry that they tasted like burn tree bark. Lamb rogan – spicy flavourless dish. Chicken Tikka masala- again instead of a sweet curry was extremely spicy and flavourless Naan bread was nice – complained to restaurant who werent interested in listening. Avoid terrible food.

My husband called to place the order and was told their card machine was not working, so cash only we asked how much the order came to and they said they would call him back , 10 minutes later still no call so my husband called and they finally told him how much our order cost so we bring he correct amount of cash. We collected our order, but the food was not great my madras was very watery, and my husband’s chicken was a very rubbery texture, the poppadoms were not fresh and were floppy to the touch. A waste of £63 , will not be coming back.

I made a mistake of ordering a curry tonight while I’m travelling and thought it would be a really easy quick meal – I ordered on Uber and these guys are terrible, I left delivery instructions. They tried to call my Australian number and instead of walking into the hotel I’m staying at and delivering it to reception. They took it back to the store. I had to borrow a phone to call them twice. The food is cold. It does not taste like a butter chicken so disappointed. Don’t waste your time with these guys. You’ll be wasting your money. And be really disappointed with the quality

Horrendous experience.

2 and half hours have passed since I ordered. The restaurant is not responding to calls, nor do the phones seem to even be working.

I understand restaurants have busy times, but the lack of communication with customers during these periods demonstrates a sheer lack of professionalism.

With such a competitive Indian cuisine scene in the Uk, so no reward restaurants such as this with your custom.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience.

When we entered the restaurant, the staff attitude was not very welcoming. While we were waiting for our food, one of the staff members brought us three glasses, but his fingers were inside the cups, which was very unhygienic and shocking. We obviously could not drink from them.

After we pointed this out, he returned with three other glasses that were even worse – visibly dirty and not clean at all. We then spoke to the person in charge of the restaurant, and the only response we received was a simple “sorry”, with no real effort to fix the situation or take it seriously.

Hygiene and basic customer service are essential in any restaurant, and unfortunately both were lacking here. I would not recommend this place based on our experience.
