When I first moved here I had the honor to try this place (when the old owner was there) and I cant say it was my favorite or a place I thought about when I wanted take-out.
BUT, I’m not going to lie. Ever since the change of management or owner, the food has most def improved.
i have yet to dine in, but I do know that the staff is extremely busy and always very welcoming.
in the times with are in now a days, that is extremely appreciated.

So I have been coming here since I was a child. We would eat there once a week when we lived in Griffith in 2005. That was the original owner. Sweetest lady knew everyone by name. Since they changed ownership it is horrible. I ordered the spare ribs “6” and 4 eggs to take to eat at work on night shift. When I opened up the ribs I am not exaggerating when I say there were only 2 ribs with any meat on them. I called and let them know(the cook definitely knew what he served. The lady that answered the phone said she would make it right as she had my name and number. That was 3 weeks ago. I called to place an order and get that fixed and she acted like she knew nothing as did her manager. We spend at least $100 every time we order “6 of us.” I will not be eating there ever again. Sad because that place was amazing when they had the other cook. I hear he is somewhere in Merrilville on 30.

The food was packed extremely well. I ordered food with gravy, also ordered soup.
Nothing spilled out or shifted in the bag. Not even a broken fortune cookie.

This Christmas we decided to stay home and relax instead of rushing around everywhere and ordered Chinese. I called to place my order at 4:30pm and was told it would be 40 minutes. I got there about 5:30 and the placed was mobbed with 50+ people waiting to be served for dining and pickup ordered.
Now, I understand it’s the only place in town open on Christmas and expected it to be busy but the lack of communication was it for me. Nothing but people waiting around and no organization. They were taking orders and telling them 20 minutes long story short I finally got my food at 7:15pm after calling at 4:30. No apologies, just took my money.
We will be ordering from a different Chinese restaurant in the future.

I understand it is Christmas but they posted on social media they are open so they should of been ready for the heavy load of orders. My order said it should be an hour for delivery. I waited 2 hrs for my food when i called they havent even made it yet. Then china koon called and said is ready and will be delivered asap. 45 mins and still no food. Terrible service and communication.

The food tasted exactly like before when it was owned by the previous owners! The rice was undercooked, the egg foo young was dry around the edges and not fresh! The food lacked flavor, very disappointing, I waited all of this time to finally try it, I wasted too much money!

Under new management. The interior has been revamped and more welcoming. We enjoyed their crab ragoons and chicken udon noodles, the chicken was under the noodles in the photo but also had bean sprouts and onions in it. We usually buy the sweet and sour chicken meals but wanted to change things up today. Always very good!
