The Boot Hill Pub is located on the beautiful Northern side of La Crosse, WI. It’s unique and quirky energy matches its interesting history. Formally known as The Rubber Mills, this pub is in the same building that was used to manufacture rubber boots from late 1800s to mid 1900s! As a visitor, I was absolutely delighted to discover Boot Hill Pub! This place is a true gem with a character all its own. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The rustic decor and historical artifacts create a unique ambiance that’s both cozy and fascinating. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. I was particularly impressed by their fantastic selection of local craft beers, and the bartender was happy to offer recommendations. The food menu, while simple, is executed perfectly—the burgers are out of this world! It’s clear that a lot of love goes into this place. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Boot Hill Pub is a must-visit spot for great drinks, delicious food, and a genuinely good time. I can’t wait to come back on my next trip!

I had the taco soup (my picture captured a shadow) and split a chicken wrap. Both were so good I was sad when it was gone. The chicken wrap is plumb full of moist delicious chicken, real bacon, lettuce, tomato, basically whatever your heart desires. And that taco soup..I almost went with the roasted veggie soup, but I’m so glad I changed my mind. This soup was loaded with seasoned pork, and just the right amount of “zest” to warm you right up on a chilly day. If you haven’t experienced Boot Hill, this little gem nestled in the beautiful old LaCrosse Boot Facotry is definitely a must! Oh, and the prices were spot on for the amount of food they serve! Can not wait to go back! Thank you Meghan and your chef, she was koodos too!

Great place! Since coming under new management in July 2023, this place has really improved for the better! The food improved and is very good; I love their wraps and salads especially. Many people talk highly about the boasted chicken; the boasted chicken does not disappoint! If the bar isn’t too busy (Monday nights are definitely busy), your food comes out in perfect timing. They also do food take-out, which is very convenient.
And the staff! They’re all so friendly and helpful for suggesting a food or drink to try. And the owner Dan, I’ve never seen that man in a bad mood! He is doing an excellent job making improvements to this bar and running it well. I try coming here about once a week.

My friends and I visited the Boothill Pub for the first time recently, and we’ll be back soon! The staff was friendly and professional, and our food came out very quick. We liked that there was an option for a quieter space for dinner away from the bar so we could talk. The food was delicious too! My fiancé and I loved the tater tots. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new place to try!

**Updated** A better experience some months later. A friendly smile behind the bar and a better service experience. Fish was better on this visit and broaster potatoes were a good choice.
**1st Visit** I’m being generous here. On an early Friday I went for fish fry and the food was decent. However, the service was, subpar, being kind. Not unfriendly, but woefully inattentive and lacking in attention to any detail, let alone details. Just moved in a couple of blocks away and I’ll look for a different neighborhood haunt.

Food is great, but one of the bartenders is either new or a bit rude. Hailey wasn’t even our bartender and was checking in on us more than our actual person. Great music on Fridays too, definitely recommend (minus the one person)
