Just ate here tonight for my birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. The food was incredibly flavorful. My wife and I shared two empanadas (paneer and chicken) along with the chicken tikka bowl, and everything was fantastic. We’re already making a list of dishes we want to try next time. Highly recommend this place!

We both enjoyed the fresh and delicious lunch we had earlier today for our first visit. My friend and I both had the combo plates with one empanada (Feta & spinach as well as the Samosa version), cups of curry lentils, Honduran cabbage/slaw, and cilantro/lime sauce on the side. Lastly, we each loved the crisp and refreshing Saffron Honey beverages. The food was absolutely delicious, savory with every bite and so wonderful overall. We appreciated the attentive and friendly service as well as the beautiful decor. The two of us can’t wait to return to this awesome restaurant downtown to try more dishes and drinks.

Love the flavor and texture of the empanadas. I had a sausage breakfast emp this morning for the first time, and now I want one every day!
I also got a paneer emp with tiki sausage to go, which was tasty, but the pea to paneer ratio was heavy on the peas. But I will have it again.
Love supporting this amazing eatery!

Small, cute and clean. The food was amazing! I had the chipotle spicy chicken bowl with rice and mango salad. The salad gave the perfect crunch to the meal. The garlic naan bread was good. For desert I had the apple empanada. The apple slices where large. The empanada was warm and large. Highly recommended!

We read several reviews before going. One local reviewer “G” wrote 3 months ago that the combo with a lemonade was $12.50. The combo is now $15.50 and a dollar extra for the lemonade. Meal was $37 for two, felt really expensive for what we received. Portions were small. The food was good, just not $37 good. The service also wasn’t good, my wife asked for lemonade with no ice and the server told her the lemonade was too sweet and needed ice. My wife doesn’t like ice and had to insist on what she wanted. We asked for basmati rice and got lentils instead and the server argued about that as well. After reading a few of the one star reviews, it looks like customer service has been an ongoing problem.

We came, we tried, we weren’t satisfied.

This is our favorite lunch spot downtown! It’s easy to walk there if you live nearby. All their empanadas are so savory and delicious. You will want to eat more than one! They have bowls and tamales as well. They sell boba, lemonade, and alcohol too. Our favorite drink is the green apple lemonade!

Wonderful. Found open air parking at N Ash Avenue and Stone $6.50 and walked around 2 corners. Zoom into Google Map to see. Stone Avenue has some construction and very limited parking with restricted time. On the way back I noticed the library I popped in and asked. If you park underground library parking it’s free for 1 hour. Afterwards I don’t know the cost.

I had the Spinach and Mushroom Empanada. It was warm. The crust, light, crunchy, and flaky. The spices worked well together to make the spinach sing, and the mushrooms added additional texture. I’m glad I had an extra one for later. I also had the Dosa with Spinach and Mushroom to go for later.

Looking at what others ordered, I would suggest a combo. The rice, lentils, and salad seemed popular, large, and filling. It’s also well priced. The Bombo combo also looked promising. It was a bustling place for lunch.

The Hibiscus tea was a lovely treat. I would definitely eat here again. The Aloo Mater Samosa was really good. The pastry is a thin version of puff pastry, and not too rich. Order at the counter. I collected my empanadas and waited for the rest. The cilantro mint sauce and masala sauce both enhanced my meal. Great service.

Enjoy.

I think I have tried almost every type of empinada and they are all good… but I’m torn between the Chicken and the Pea one as being the best. I am becoming a regular here because it is so good. I am not the biggest fan of Indian spices, but the empinadas have just the right amount that doesn’t overpower flavor of the crust and other ingredients. Include the cilantro sauce… **chef’s kiss**.
