Found this hidden gem tonight and I am addicted. The food is rich and craveable. The seasoning is perfect, with some heat but not so much it blows out your taste buds. The ox tail melts in your mouth and keeps you going back for more. The serving sizes are generous. Only sad thing is I didn’t get my curry chicken I ordered and didn’t notice till I was back home. Doesn’t matter because there is more than enough for two people still. 100% recommend, and will be back again, and again and again.

I was driving back from Lake Placid to Rhode Island and thought I’d drive through Saratoga Springs on this chilly February day. It was just before lunchtime (11:30am) and googled “best lunch near me”. Needless to say, I love Jamaican food and have always found Jamaicans particularly friendly and jovial. After seeing the rating on Google, I took an out of the way drive. I had no idea it was in a Knights of Columbus Hall. The parking lot was empty and no one else was there except for the chef hard at work. He greeted me just with a jovial, thunderous welcome! I knew just what I wanted and was looking forward to it! Curry Goat with cabbage and rice and beans and a beef patty for good measure! There are no inside tables immediately available but he did mention in summer, they do offer outdoor seating. Everything was clean and spotless and smelled amazing! Let me tell you ! That out of the way drive took me right to Jamaica. I damn near cried tears of joy! This place is the real deal and will be a regular stop on any of my ski trips!

Stopped by here for takeout dinner on the way upstate. 100% worth the stop. Generous portions for a fair price. Got 2 beef patties, oxtail, and brown stew chicken. Everything was fall off the bone and delicious. The cabbage was also banging. Great customer service as well. Thank you for the warm hospitality and heart warming meal!! Please support this business if you have the opportunity.

Thanks to Gregory for serving us generously. Authentic Jamaican curry chicken with rice bean and fried plantain, jerk chicken with cabbages and plantain. They ran out of the coconut cake so I got the pineapple rum cake.

Tried the jerk chicken and it was really good, super flavorful with a nice smoky kick and just the right amount of spice. Juicy, well-seasoned, and definitely something I’d order again. Very excited to try out the other dishes!

Upon walking in we were greeted kindly. We ordered oxtails, stew chicken and curry goat, and a beef patty, everything was seasoned well and proportions were great for the amount we spent.
Remember this is take out only, outside seating only when the weather permits!!! Know what you want and place order before arriving for faster service.
It is great that I don’t have to travel all the way to Albany or Schenectady for Jamaican food and rude service most of the time.
I will be returning soon, have to try the soups.

This place was great! I highly recommend. It’s a little on the pricier side, but that’s because they serve up VERY generous portions. When I first pulled into the parking lot with my friends they questioned me on the location (it’s in a Knight’s of Columbus building). But we were all glad we didn’t leave. The man working behind the counter was very nice and personable. The food was great, but was maybe more spicy than expected. I was a huge fan of the darker, spicy sauce they give you (I really like heat/spicy). Definitely give this place a try!

All I can say is YEH MON! Finally gave this place a try and was NOT disappointed. Hidden on a side street in Saratoga is the Best Jamaican Food in the Region. Chef is incredibly nice. Beef patty w/Coco bread, Bread is warm and light, beef patty is hot and well seasoned. Perfect appetizer or quick lunch. Chicken curry was the Best- seasoned and just the right amount of spice, cabbage and carrots cooked perfectly. Now the Oxtails! If you know a good oxtail “fall of the bone is necessary” and these fell all the way off. The meat, gravy, beans so rich and flavorful. Ordered plantains this time also, large serving for the price, tender and not too sweet, really good. The 3 stars for atmosphere don’t mean anything, it’s a takeout only place. Can not wait to see him expand and be a full service restaurant.

Wow, this food was absolutely fantastic. Like no joke. I found this place on accident the other day looking for a restaurant to take a friend and I saw Jamaican food. I was like well not today but this weekend I’ll try it. Well..I tried it and I think I’m in love. I ordered Curry chicken , with cabbage and plantains. Jerk pork with the cabbage and plantains also . 2 dinners. The chicken was fall off the bone tender the cabbage was flavorful and the sweet plantains I saved for last cause that was almost like a dessert. I didn’t even try the jerk Pork cause when I tasted the curry chicken I couldn’t stop eating it. The owner was there cooking , super nice guy. This is a walk up counter service spot, to go place in the Knight of Columbus building. That’s why I only rated the atmosphere as a 3 cause the was no dining room. But if I scored it by the smells in there it would of been a 10 star. I will update this review when I take down the jerk pork later. If ypu like things spicy make sure you ask for the brown hot sauce. It’s delicious. This might just become my new go to spot. All the food is prepped to order so it’s a good 15 to 20 mins while chef prepares so keep that in mind. But you can call an order in. Definitely worth it.

A total hidden gem! Yeh Mon is located in the Knights of Columbus building, but has its own entrance. The chef and owner was so kind and upbeat. The beef patties were delicious and so were the jerk chicken and curry chicken. Everything was packed with flavor. A must try for anyone who loves Jamaican food
