Excellent, authentic homemade Mexican food. The proprietor is a nice friendly guy who knows how to cook his mother’s dishes.
Prices are reasonable, servings are ample, and the taste is real “south of the border!”
It is a small, “hole in the wall“ on the byways of Vermont that you must stop at if you’re anywhere near the area.

Very good little Mexican shack on you way to or from some of the Vermont Ski mountains. The people were very nice and even gave us some cinnamon spiced tea to warm up on a cold day. We both really liked the al pastor and the guac would definitely stop by again.

Great little place for authentic mex food. Stayed in the area for skiing and decided to try them out. Food was prepared quickly but was like warm at best. Wanted something a little more hotter after spending the whole day on the mountain.
Regardless, it was very delicious and will definitely give it another try when in the area.

Maria’s is as authentic as it gets! A taco truck vibe in a small “shack”. The steak burrito was fantastic and the tacos were extremely flavorful. The service was extremely pleasant and there is an option for dining in under the gazebo or the covered patio. Overall this place is 5 stars!

Absolutely amazing food and extremely nice staff. My fiance has celiacs so she has to eat gluten free. When we told them that they made sure to clean the prep and cook area to make sure there was no cross contamination. The food came out pretty quick and tasted awesome, we also got to look out at the Mountains while eating out lunch. Highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for good tacos or burritos.

Amazing Mexican food stand. We were traveling through and needed a quick bite and a rest room.
I wish I lived closer, I’d be here a lot 🙂 I didn’t want to have a huge meal so we got a taco. The pork taco was delicious. The guacamole was the best I’ve ever had. All was fresh and tasty.

I was passing through town for work and was attracted to this place by its many scintillating reviews. I sincerely apologize for having to be contrarian but my experience here was disappointing.

I ordered the burrito bowl with chicken. I had asked the attendant how they prepared the chicken and he said it was grilled. To me this evoked an image of sizzling chicken breasts sliced and/or diced. What I received instead was chicken prepared mystery meat style – ground up into grainy little bits. Worse still, the chicken had a lot of grit in it, almost like bits of sand.

The guacamole was that homogeneous paste that one can find vacuum sealed in most supermarkets. The pico, rice and beans were suitable but bland. The most prominent flavor by far was salt. The salsa was a thin sauce reminding me of Dollar store varieties that provide heat and no nuance.

In Buffalo, New York there’s a low rent Mexican food chain called Mighty Taco. I was astonished at how much this dinner reminded me of one from there. A lot of the reviews mentioned that the food here is prepared fresh – I might believe that if by “prepared” they mean the food is transferred from warming trays to a disposable container with an ice cream scoop.

One thing I do agree with the other reviews on is how friendly the service is, though. I guess that’s one positive thing about this place.

Again, I’m sorry to be contrarian, but I am compelled to be honest. You don’t have to listen to me, you can go with the other reviews, I just know that if I had read a review like mine I would not be getting ready to hit the road for a 5-hour trip with half of an unsatisfying meal inside my stomach.

Stopped here for the first time and it did not disappoint. The food took a few minutes to prepare, but it was so good! Even a celiac like myself had plenty of gluten-free options. And the outdoor seating area was nice and relaxed, we brought our dog. They have mini golf for the kids too. Will definitely come again.
