Betty’s menu features classic New England dishes like lobster roll, fried shrimp, New England whole belly clams, lettuce wraps, scallops, clams, cod, and the local catch special. Betty’s also offers sautéed choices, gluten free items, and daily specials as well as great appetizers, like local steamers, colossal u-6/8 shrimp cocktail, our take on clam’s casino, and so much more. Homemade New England chowdah is available, as well as some non-seafood choices including smash burgers, chicken fingers, mac-n-cheese, and salads. A children’s menu is also available. Desserts include frozen key lime pie, served on a stick, dipped in a chocolate shell, chocolate peanut butter pie and cheesecake. Inside/outside seating on the bay. BYOB

Betty’s Seafood Shack has become one of our favorite parts of summer in Margate.
We started coming here a couple years ago, and now we make it a point to stop by every time we’re in town.
The food is just consistently amazing. Our go-to order is the lobster roll and the grilled shrimp lettuce wraps — the shrimp is always jumbo, super fresh, and perfectly grilled, and the lobster roll is buttery, generous, and absolutely packed with flavor. At this point, we’ve tried almost everything on the menu, and truly, it’s all delicious. Every single dish has been full of fresh ingredients, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care.
The atmosphere at Betty’s makes the whole experience even better. It’s right on the bay, and even when it’s packed (which it often is), it never feels too hectic. Watching the sunset while you wait for your food just adds to the charm. And yes — sometimes there’s a bit of a wait, especially on holiday weekends, but it’s always worth it. The staff is friendly, honest about timing, and they’ll text you when your order’s ready, so you can grab a drink nearby and enjoy the evening.
We even got to meet Steve, the owner, over Labor Day weekend — such a genuine, welcoming guy. You can really feel the love and care that goes into the place. And don’t miss the BBQ spot they opened next door — it’s just as good.

We came in right before the big lunch rush, so we were able to be helped very quickly! Then less than 10 minutes later, we were served with some of the best seafood I’ve had on the east coast!! My husband came in saying that he wasn’t very hungry and wouldn’t eat anything, but after eating half of my meal, we left with him saying ‘should I go back and get more?!?!’ If you can get in when it’s not too busy, you really had not ought to miss this gem… even if it’s crazy busy, it’s STILL probably worth it. Thank you!!

In one word, delightful. Incredibly delicious lobster roll (I tried both) and the sea food combo (shrimps, scallops, crab cake) was perfect. Well seasoned and not deep fried. Hands down this is my new favorite spot for on the beach casual seafood.

It’s kind of a complete free-for-all in there, but if you can manage to place your order at the counter and find a spot yeah the food is good. Like really good. Pretty casual and low-key and it’s a good option to kind of sit/take away as opposed to go to some of the fancier places down by the bay. Needless to say was not cheap with two lobster rolls and a dozen oysters, but definitely worth going back. Good on you Betty’s.

We went there for the first time on Thursday for Happy Hour food – the New England clam chowder, tuna poke bowl and clamp strips. All were fresh and delicious and quickly brought to us out back to the left where we looked out on the bay. We’ll be back!

This was my first time here and the food was outstanding. The staff was friendly and attentive. We sat outside overlooking the marina and enjoyed our salmon and lobster rolls. The coleslaw and house made cocktail sauce were also fantastic. I highly recommend coming to Betty’s.

The food is fantastic best seafood, and desserts.. unfortunately the place is run by teenagers so you’ll have to wait for 1-2 hours for your order and you cannot cancel and walk away if you paid with credit card because they don’t know how to cancel.I was told it’s already in the computer. We can’t cancel too bad. …You’ve been waiting for two hours. Good thing there is a great restaurant &bar right across the street so you can have your dinner and take your takeout from Betty’s home for breakfast next day, I recommend the lobster roll &carrot cake ice cream

My husband wanted a seafood feast for his birthday. My children found this place and it was really nice. We had the fish and chips, the oysters, the lobster rolls and crab cake and onion rings. The food was made to order, was hot and delicious and the amount of food…most generous. A very nice, beachy, seafood restaurant.
