We came for lunch hour on a Thursday. Restaurant was clean even with most tables full. As it was December and the sun was already on the low side it made for a great “low-light” ambiance.
I had a French dip sandwich and green chili chicken stew and my counterpart had a Reuben. Sandwiches were wonderful, with a perfect crunch to the crust of mine and the Reuben was stuffed with corned beef.
The green chili chicken stew was THICC but very good. Not for someone whose a heat wuss like me as it tasted like it uses hot chillies, not mild. I still ate half of it but got too full to finish.
Would recommend to stop by for a bite to eat but be careful of the usual lunch rush making this place a bit on the busy/loud side, especially if noise causes or lots of people cause you issues.

I have Always had great meals here. The sandwiches are always good. My go-to is the Big Apple with the Waldorf salad on the side. They have a great patio shaded and great service. Your cup is always full with water and the owner always comes out and talks to you and asks if your food is good and to see if you need anything else. Plus there’s Always cookies at the register.

My coworkers wanted to eat here, but we decided to order online pickup because they close at 2pm. We all ordered online with a 2 dollar service fee. I ordered a beef patty melt with caesar salad and an order of fries. My total came to just over 20 dollars after tax, but I was splurging because I can’t afford to eat out much. We arrived 5 minutes after the pickup time and had to wait another 10 minutes or so for our food (which they packed up all together). I should have made sure it was all there, but we were hungry and eager to get back to the office. The wrong names were on the boxes we ordered, but after sorting it out, we were missing a 4 dollar order of fries. I called to see if I could come pick them up and said I could come get them or get a credit toward our next visit. I decided to go get the fries. Shortly after the call, they called me back, explaining that both orders of fries were in the same takeout box even though we placed our orders separately online. 8 dollars for a small box of fries is hard to believe. Don’t get Caesar dressing… it tastes like fish paste.. overall, the salad was inedible, the patty melt was okay, and the fries portions are extremely small if they were telling us the truth and definitely not worth 8 dollars for two orders. I really wanted to like this place because it was close to work, but I don’t recommend spending your money here.

I had the Rio Grande coffee, the Chelsea sandwich, and the waldorf salad. It was all really good. The sandwich had green chili and avocado and was delicious. They have a lot of sandwiches to choose from as well as other options. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are really warm and helpful.

Go Monday for the mushroom soup. The manager makes you feel like family. The food is great. The Rio Grande and the chicken Salad are two of my favorites. The Waldorf salad is always fresh. It’s not fancy but the portions are generous and the price is right

Very cute and cozy little gem. It is a little hidden behind the rest of the industry but it’s worth the search! My sandwich was delicious the potato salad was amazing, highly recommended! I had a pick up order she was Swift and prompt. I can’t wait to go back and dine in!

The shoppe on 119 San Pasquale Ave is a wonderful choice for a healthy, hearty and affordable lunch experience. It is , as my colleagues agree, as if your Mom was in the kitchen. The food is just that delicious! It is a home-cooked-meal! The staff is very warm, and professional. The dishes are a beautiful balance and presentation. The senses are overwhelmed once you enter the dining area. The management greets you, and you are treated just like family. I will definitely refer all my friends and colleagues to visit and visit often! I think I found the best place to eat downtown! Oh, and the meals are served hot, and soon! That makes a big difference for us who don’t have a lot of time to seek out a place to eat, and be back on time. I am amazed at the grace under pressure demonstrated, and the outright feeling of warmth and welcome you experience once you enter. A smile at every greeting! Every selection is the best! You MUST try this place! Guaranteed to amaze! Yum!!

We’ve walked here several times from a nearby vacation rental, Roadrunner Retreat, for these wonderful lunch sandwiches. Every time we’ve been here, service has been quite nice and attentive, not overly so. I’ve been trying several different items and I have always enjoyed everything I’ve ordered. I’m growing partial to the “Chelsea” sandwich.
