Girl with red hair who took our order was very unpleasant. Could care less if we were there or not. Our first time trying this place, the attitude was enough to not want to go back, but we tried to look past that. Everyone has off days so I get it. I ordered a ham, egg & cheese on an Asiago bagel, I wish I was joking there was just ham on it. No egg. No cheese. Just deli ham on my bagel. I even checked with my fiancé to make sure I actually ordered ham, egg & cheese. Sure enough I did. So I didn’t notice my sandwich was incomplete until we’re 10 mins down the road. Whatever ate the bagel. I kid you not, again, I wish I was joking, my fiance pulls 3 hairs out of ONE side of his sandwich . To the point where he’s now taking apart the sandwich to figure out if every bite is going to have hair hanging from it. Honestly we were so excited to try this place as we just moved down here. But the service was horrific, the food was made incorrectly and one Sandwich was fuzzy. Don’t think we’ll go back. Seems like while glancing over other reviews the attitude from order takers is pretty prevalent. I’m not sure why management would want these people being the first to interact with their guests. They couldn’t be further from friendly. Made the atmosphere very stale.

We were excited when this bagel shop opened a few years ago, it’s difficult to get good bagels in the area. We have noticed a decline in quality over time. During our recent visit, the young woman at the counter barely acknowledged us. We purchased half dozen bagels to bring home, and when we arrived home and sliced them we discovered they were not baked all the way, the inside of the bagels were doughy. We are about 20 minutes from the store so we didn’t return them and we won’t be going back. Very disappointing.

Super expensive for what it is. Bagels pretty tasty; however, almost too well baked. Atmosphere could be SO much more inviting. The crumb cake is insanely good. Service was ok.

After taking about 5 months off from visiting this bagel shop due to some bad experiences,, I decided to give it another shot. I’ve gone back now 4 times in a row and Empire Bagel has turned things around and is now a much better run business. Therefore, I’m changing my review as well. The bagels have been consistent and the service excellent as well. If you see the young lady with the red hair there, your food is going to be good. Keep up the great work!

This place used to be good, unfortunately it has gone down. I placed an order of two bagel sandwiches with sausage 2 fried eggs and cheese, but I received two plain bagels with one burnt egg and burnt bacon. The food was inedible, if not I would have eaten it.
If the mistake was minor, I would have overlooked it and moved on with my day. However, I paid almost $11.00 dollars per sandwich and the quality of what I received was unacceptable. To the owners: I suggest reviewing your kitchen standards and ensuring more pride is taken in the food being served. If things don’t improve, you will have to permanently close your doors from all of your unsatisfied costumers that most likely wont be returning.

Do not recommend!!!!!! Zero stars!!!!! Business is a bagel shop run by three young people. Very rude. Was not greeted. Put money in the tip jar in front of the person taking my order and was not thanked. Asked for separate bags for my order but everything put in one bag anyways. Very impolite. Was not thanked for my order. Was not even told to have a nice day. The food was barely OK. I wouldn’t even call it New York style bagels. As I said before, I don’t recommend coming here unless you like rude service.

Slowest service I ever had for a bagel and egg sandwich. Even paid a premium for the door dash pick up but still waited just as long as if I had just walked in. High wait times, high prices, low quality. The place smells like old frying oil. I guess its one girls job just too stare a the order bags, the other 2 are running around taking and making all the orders maybe get some more help or have all 3 being productive
