A unique coffee house that serves breakfast and lunch daily til 4pm. We have delicious desserts and baked goods daily and also have a full liquor license. Our bar opens daily at 11am. We have live acoustic music every Friday and Saturday night, upstairs in our 2nd floor of our restaurant. We also have private function room for rental that seats up to parties of 50 people.

We had awesome drinks on Valentine’s Day night. We came in before we had dinner reservations and wanted to relax and have some drinks before our dinner. The bartender and staff were fabulous! My husband and I come here, but this night we brought our friends who had never been and they were so impressed with aviance and the great drinks. They can’t wait to come again with us. Great place and excellent service!!

If you go here get a cinnamon roll! We split one and it was delicious. The frosting is a cream cheese frosting and not too sweet. We sat outside, perfect for people watching. I had a pomegranate green tea and that was delicious too. For the roll and the tea it cost about $12 and change. So prices are pretty good as well.

I rarely leave reviews, but this place absolutely earned one, and not in a good way. The atmosphere might look inviting, but it’s completely ruined by the staff. From the moment I walked in, the workers were dismissive, impatient, and flat-out rude. Simple questions were met with eye-rolls and attitude, as if customers were an inconvenience rather than the reason the cafe exists. The service was slow, unprofessional, and uncomfortable, making it impossible to enjoy the experience no matter how decent the food or drinks might have been. A cafe should feel welcoming and relaxed, not tense and hostile. Until the staff learns basic customer service and respect, I would strongly recommend spending your money literally anywhere else.

I really enjoy coming here because the atmosphere is great. The live music is also awesome at night on the weekends. The espresso martinis are always so good as well. Unfortunately, recently, I’ve gotten coffee and food and it just really hasn’t lived up to my expectations. For the price of the slice of quiche, I feel as though it’s rather small and it’s okay taste wise. I also recently ordered an iced coffee with a flavor in it however, I’m pretty sure that I was given a latte and I can’t really taste the flavor. It just tastes like watered down espresso, which is really unfortunate because I believe the coffee was like around eight dollars. Overall, I think it might be hit or miss depending on who makes the drink. Unfortunately, I’m torn and probably won’t come in here in the morning as much but will definitely be back in the evening because the drinks are really good and the atmosphere is a good time, especially with all the other restaurants in the Putnam area.

I’ve had many run ins with the Sawdust employees, NONE of them ever being pleasant. The staff was incredibly rude and yelling at my sister from across the room for something small which could’ve been dealt with privately, unprofessional don’t you think? I’m not sure who trained these girls judging they were SWEARING in a BUSINESS behind the counter obviously they did not do a good job. After complaining, the owner came to speak to me which I can respect but then soon realized he was as unprofessional as the rest of his staff, he told me not to come back, after drinking that mediocre overpriced coffee I sure as hell was not planning on it.

I enjoyed my lunch at Sawdust today. The bagel was warm and delicious, and the cream cheese was amazing. The BLT was cooked well and a good size. I hope to get a huge cinnamon role next time I come in. The cucumber watermelon refresher was good, however the guava passion fruit smoothie is watery and not great. The interior is very cute and the prices are great for a small business. Highly recommend.

The brownie looked amazing but didn’t wow me with flavor and left me wishing that I had ordered something else. The wine serving was on the skimpy side. It is a nice place to hang out with folks. There’s comfortable seating if you want to relax while enjoying your dessert.
