Open on Friday and Saturday. Excellent food. The green chili is delicious. Had the chicken stuffed sopapilla smothered with green chili. Other family members had smothered burrito with red and green(christmas). Go early or you may not get a table. Everything was served quickly. Would definitely go back.

Small cafe in the residential area of downtown Raton New Mexico, where the local residents go very often, a ton of carry out orders on a Friday night pretty typical – Mexican food homemade and traditional.

Small place, was fairly busy when we stopped in. The staff was nice but the food was meh. The beans were dried out and had a lot of pepper in them. The rice was very tomato-y, like they cooked rice then added the sauce at the end. The cheese used in the chile rellenos was an American vs the cheddar used everywhere else. The best thing was the tamales, 10/10.

My family and I had a horrible experience for dinner yesterday. The host was rude, the atmosphere, hostile. And there was a hair in my food that ruined my whole appetite. The host was actively making comment to other customers about having a large table. (There was 8 of us) very unprofessional. I asked my mom who the who was, apparently he was the owner. I will never come back here

This is our second visit to the restaurant. The previous hostess asked us to give them a second try. We have asked 3 times for guacamole and chips. 2 orders. We have been here an hour. We have not been checked on for drinks. There will not be a third time.

Welcomed with a smile from ALL the hostesses made us feel right at home. They were more than kind and brought us a chili sampler of green pork chili & red beef chili (which is spicier). But the salsa they bring u with ur chips is the most spiciest!!!
We ordered the SPECIAL SAMPLER and I was enough to feed 4 adults who had not eaten all day. It was Super delicious with real handmade flour tortillas too!

this place is weird. it’s the most bland Mexican food I’ve ever had, but somehow still decent food. i kept eating it for some reason. it’s somewhat comforting food. i was on the fence between giving it 2 or 3 stars because it’s relatively expensive in my opinion. I went with three cause the food is weirdly goodish.

I was told this was the best place for some authentic New Mexican food. It is very unassuming but clearly popular with locals – which is a good sign. Their hours are odd so make sure you call ahead. I believe they opened just for a few hours around dinner on the 4th of July weekend to accommodate guests. Definitely some great food here.

This restaurant came up in a Google search for “gluten free”. Be warned it is not gluten free, said so right on the menu. Food ok. Service was great.
