The bartender Jess was very nice and attentive. Helped to choose out the Hotel Monteleone since I asked for something sweeter off the Golden Hour Menu.
Sweet drink with a bit of a sour tinge to it, great choice. Other drinks being made also looked interesting.
The Beef and Barley Soup had a good flavor.
Didnt ask if they make it themselves but the wheat bread was delicious.
The honey glazed chicken…… mind blowing, the meat was so moist, loved the sweetness of the glaze and the savory of the stuffing. Potatoes and hash were pretty good as well.
The lemon posset and blueberry cookie….I dont think I’ve ever had anything so smooth that has just enough lemon to it. If you eat the cookie with the posset its adds a nice sweetness to balance it out.
Definitely hope to come around here and there to try out items on the ever changing menu.
FOOD: the fork & knife salad soo good! The brussel sprouts with whipped feta delicious. Soo many flavor layers. My husband really enjoyed his venison pot pie and I the rack of lamb with jeweled rice. The bread & butter was very yummy. Bread comes from a baker in NY. All staff very nice. The pear tart was superb! As was the blackberry gellato. Soo much flavor in the blackberry gellato.
CLOTHING: we decided to dress up a bit but people came in street clothes. Staff looked nice even wearing jeans.
Would I return? Yes. If I wanted to take someone special visiting for a nice dinner, I would know I could here based on experience.
The brussel sprouts were really great and had me sopping up the dish with bread. The Ribeye was a little over cooked for medium rare, and was just okay, the potato faux marrow was novel but lacked a ton of flavor, which surprised me with the ground mustard.
You could tell the chef great pride in their work. The presentation was excellent! And the food was delicious!
The atmosphere put it over the top, we had our own “balcony” and it was a quieter night. So it was very nice!
We will be back!
While the Osso Bucco was the star of the evening for me, the appetizers and my husband’s fish were also outstanding. The portions, prices, and service were all amazing. Our server Miranda was fantastic. She made sure my husband’s birthday dinner ended with desserts he and I would both enjoy.
HIGHLY recommend checking this place out. We will definitely be back, and I hope the Osso Bucco stays on the menu!
