Yesterday my wife and a few oh her girlfriends stopped at Sporty’s late afternoon. I texted her and asked her to pick me up a chicken bacon ranch wrap for supper. When she got home the bag was tied so tight I had a hard time undoing it. When I did I found a turkey bacon on marble rye. NOT the wrap I wanted and the turkey smelled funny so I couldn’t eat it. My wife apologized for not checking to see if it was what I wanted. I said it’s not your fault the cook made the wrong sandwich on purpose, put it in the bag and tied it up so tight you couldn’t untie it to check it. Why would a person need to check to see if you got the right order. Poor food and service!!!

New ownership looks good for this mom and pop joint! The service was SPOT ON and the walleye shorelunch was perfect. New tartar sauce recipe is a great compliment and everything came out piping hot! Well done Sportys!!

Second Thursday I order Fries with my meal and the portion was small again. Next time I will stick with the chips. Two more dollars for the fries is not worth it

Shout out to Kris our server last week. We came up from Omaha, NE for a function and it couldn’t have went better. She was Johnny on the spot for drinks and shots all whilst serving food. The place was shoulder to shoulder and nobody had an empty glass. As someone that has worked in the service industry, the service she provided was unparalleled. Thanks again for everything Kris and great job!!!

I grew up here since I was 6 to 27. Now look what new owner ship has done to the place. Honestly the absolute worst dish of buffalo wings I’ve ever seen. The new ownership has trashed it from what I can tell. They at one point has the best deep fried pepper cheese burger and absolutely phenomenally deep fried crispy wings whether breaded or not. This place has become pathetic, will never go again. It’s so simple just deep fry them. The wings are mushy, no extra sauce and seriously 6 wings? Are you kidding me?
