My wife and I came here for the first time a couple of weeks ago on a cold Sunday night. We loved it! The pizza was great, prices were very reasonable and service was friendly. The whole place felt warm and welcoming and we definitely hope to be back again.

My mom is in the hospital. She wanted pizza and the nurses ordered it for her from Leo’s. When the owners heard this, they not only made a special pizza for her with items not on the menu, but then refused to take any money for it. We went in because wanted to thank them. We ordered the homemade pasta off the menu. It was phenomenal!!! The service was fantastic as well. Their small act of kindness has earned them loyal lifetime customers. Thank you again!

We had a great experience for our first visit last night. Nick was our server, and he was very professional. We appreciated the wonderful service. The stuffed crust pizza is a must try. Tasty fried cauliflower for an appetizer, and we took tiramisu and a mini cannoli home for dessert. We can’t wait to return!

Leo’s Pizza is an institution in Jacksonville, Illinois!
I grew up in Jacksonville and moved away decades ago but I still visit Leo’s every chance I get! Pizza is amazing and the atmosphere is still the same

We had a large party . They opened up the back room to get us all seated.
Pizza was good . Not really thin crust like advertised but not super thick . It did have a good yeasty flavor .
We were here for almost 3 hours. Little excessive in my opinion.

We decided to order takeout from Leo’s Pizza in Jacksonville,Illinois. As always they are consistent with their food flavors and the fresh ingredients that are always in their menu’s options. Tonight’s menu consists of Stuffed pepperoni pizza, thin crust Hamburger and Pepperoni and an appetizer of fried cauliflower florets. I’ve added some photos of tonight’s dinner. Everything was delicious and didn’t disappoint.

I’m going to write this review a little differently than the good the bad and the ugly. Let’s start with the bad. The crust has little life in it. Like a cracker. It’s bland but thin so it’s not exactly the highlight. It’s more like an eatable charcuterie board. If I had any recommendation, it would be to simmer whole cloves of garlic in olive oil for a few hours and paint the crust before you top it. Now that this is out of the way, let me tell you a story of the super nice man who’s family owns this place. I walked up at 2 pm. Which… this town is a bit strange. One would think a restaurant would be open for lunch, but it’s just a different kind of town. So I’m a little early and they don’t open for another 10 minutes or more, and I meet the chef. His family has owned the place for a long time and I bumble my way to the wrong door and he waves me on. I try the correct door and it’s locked and I see they aren’t open. So this man opens the window and asks me what I’m trying to do. I inform him that I’m new here and how the amazing smells drew me like a cartoon character floating toward the aroma. And get this… he says He doesn’t need the waitress. He’ll take care of me. A little embarrassed, I agreed and was not disappointed. He told me a little about himself and the place and I returned about why I was in town. And he took my order. The picture attached is the utter monstrosity that came out. Amazing! Grace finally arrived… jk… I was so early… and she was amazing. Grace took amazing care of me and joked around a bit. Everyone had a spectacular attitude and at this point, even if the pizza had been awful, I was still having a great day, but don’t you worry. The toppings were glorious!!! They were fresh. Quality! That’s what really kills a pizza. Low quality toppings. Not here. I do always try to think of small things that could improve, but really, I can only think of the crust. Could be painted but maybe it’s an Illinois thing? Do not miss this gem! Highly recommended. And the price is reasonable for the size you order. Will be eating here again! Maybe while it’s open next time?

I was recommended this place by an old coworker. We got their a little close to closing time, but we were still met with great service and hot food. The who I presume to be the owner was a very nice lady and shared some of her history in the business. The pizza was fantastic, and the sides didn’t disappoint. If you’re looking for a good Italian restaurant, I’d definitely recommend Leo’s.

We were near Springfield, totally worth the drive. Outstanding pizza with excellent quality ingredients. The Lasagna was also very authentic and delicious. Service is fantastic and a great family friendly atmosphere. If you’re within 45 minutes of Leo’s, you’ve got to check it out!

Went here with a big group of family and got the cauliflower crust pizza because I have gluten issues. It was very good! Crust tasted like any normal crust and was perfectly crispy. I tried a bite of the regular pizza my boyfriend got and surprisingly we both thought the cauliflower crust was better.
