I frequent a lot of Korean BBQ restaurants. As far as meat quality goes I would rank this as one of the tops, quite excellent. This I would classify as upper scale for a Korean BBQ place. Service was good, slightly slow getting our check at the end but no complaints about anything else. They were extremely busy. General manager introduced himself and the layout of the restaurant was elegant and upscale. Only reason I didn’t rate it a 5 is the sides could have had a little more variety and with a table of 4 the quantity brought out was maybe for the amount of 2. However they did bring more on request. I do recommend this as an upscale date type environment. It will be added to my regular rotation. Well done to the owners and managers. Thank you for a good experience.

Wonderful dinner for our anniversary. Drinks we great and meat choices were awesome. My wife had the lobster and loved it.
There was a live DJ playing 90s throwbacks so was different. Place had a nice energy and everyone was friendly and helpful. Was nice to have some Soju as we hadn’t had any in a while. They brought us a complementary dessert for us since it was out anniversary-was a nice personal touch.
Really enjoyed our experience and cant wait to come back!

We were really excited to eat at Nuri based on different reviews and recommendations. It was a toss up between 5 stars and 4 stars, so let me explain the positives and the reason for 4 stars:

Positive: beautiful restaurant with very professional waitstaff. Korean restaurants are usually know for bad service and this isn’t that. But there were also no Korean waitstaff. The kimchee fried rice was one of the best I’ve had. Chunky steak and very nice flavour overall. We ordered the Nuri chef special. Reasonable price at $39/person and if you are not a big eater, the quantity is perfect. Quality of the meat was excellent and juicy.

Negatives to bring it down from 5 stars to 4 stars: the soup was beyond salty. I love eating my Korean stews but I couldn’t take more than 2 bites of the soup. Korean food is known for their side dishes. Often this is what separates good from great Korean restaurants. The side dishes at Nuri were average at best.

Would I recommend Nuri? Absolutely…hopefully they can continue to fine tune some aspects to be amazing.

Nuri Grill is an interesting take on Korean BBQ with a fine-dining steakhouse twist.

To be honest, the cold, unwelcoming attitude of the hostess gave me a bad first impression of this place. Maybe she was having a bad day, but the rest of the staff members – the server and bartender – made up for that.

Unlike many other korean barbeque restaurants, Nuri Grill is not all you can eat. I went with a party of five people (unexpected guest tagged along), so we ordered 2 Nuri Feasts, then the Sweet and Sour Chicken, Pan Fried Octopus, Crab Fritters, and the Steak Noodles as starters/sides. The portions are quite small, so obviously not ideal for sharing beyond 3-4 people.

Pan Fried Octopus: BEAUTIFUL presentation, sauce was delicious. Very small portion and with a tad too much salt. Personally, I don’t eat octopus, but with the crisp batter disguising the tentacles, this time was an exception. I would recommend.

Sweet & Sour chicken: I wanted to slap my friend silly for ordering CHICKEN at a steakhouse/KBBQ place. Alas, it was still delicious, but not unique.

Crab Fritters: Again, quite delicious with beautiful presentation. Would recommend.

Steak noodles: (if you’ve seen Parasite, you will recognize this dish). Good flavor and the steak was fine. The menu says it’s made out of chow mein noodles, but the noodles remind me of ramen blocks. Small portion size too. $12 is pretty expensive for what it is though

Nuri Feast: Our server was amazing and super kind. She cooked the meats for us, although I do not believe it is typical for them to do so. The meats were good, salad was too acidic for my liking, and surprisingly, the soups were my favorite. To finish off, they served us a pomegranate slushy to cleanse the palate. The slushy is more acidic than it is sweet.

Lastly, the noise level was pretty loud. I would have preferred if there was more space between different groups of people as it was almost impossible to hear my friends without yelling. There were many empty tables, yet everyone was compacted in the same area, which also is questionable when considering Covid-19…

Overall, I think it’s a decent place to check out for the experience, but be prepared to spend a lot of money if you want to be satiated.

The restaurant provided an excellent experience of fine dining mixed with Korean food. I have not experienced any Korean restaurant in the Dallas area that has the quality of meats and quality of service that Nuri provides. The meats were perfectly lean And delicious. The staff provided exceptional service and was very attentive to our needs. Setting it apart from the stereotypical Korean bbq experience which uses the typical soy bean paste and sesame oil dipping condiments, Nuri uses its own array of delicious sauces and truffle salt that brings a new and unique taste to the Korean bbq experience. Aside from taste, the presentation of the food was aesthetic and classy, making the experience pleasing to our taste buds and our eyes. Nuri is a Restaurant that is obviously well thought of, cared for, and managed by its owner. In order to start the restaurant, the owner brought in the expertise of a Michelin rated chef, and it clearly shows through the quality of experience at Nuri.

We went to Nuri to celebrate my friends birthday and we had the most delightful experience. Hands down the best service from Simon our server. He made us feel like we were having dinner at his house and was the most awesome host. He expertly explained what each dish was and the best way to eat it. He came out with a few special surprises to celebrate the birthday girls big day. We ordered a 1 serving of the Nuri feast, the oyster trio, pan-fried octupus, cold soba noodles, and steak kimchi fried rice. We wanted to try a little of everything. Although the food was delicious the service was what was most memorable. Thanks for the great experience we will most definitely be back for more birthday celebrations!

Place is beautiful inside. Everybody ordered the nuri feast. Galbi was our favorite. Quality of meat is very good here. Best fried octopus that i have ever had. We all loved our waitress Celeste who got us whatever we needed. For sure coming back again. Price is good for what you get.

An upscale Korean steakhouse. We went to try it one night and it was ok. IMO it’s not much given the price, service, and quality of the food. It was nice to try once but would not go back.

We ordered the nuri grill that comes with 4 different cuts of meat, a choice of beef or seafood soup, white rice, house salad, pickled cilantro, kimchi, ssam, and a dessert. In addition to nuri grill, we ordered the crispy pork belly and steak noodles.

Service was ok. We went for an early dinner a little after 5pm, the restaurant was not busy yet. Only a couple tables were filled. It took awhile to get seated and waited on. By the time the food came out, the business was starting to pick up with the dinner crowd. Our server was rushing to cook the meat and taking away plates as soon as the last bit of food was eaten.

Food tasted alright. The dishes were Asian fusion, not traditional Korean food.

This place was really good! I was here with a really large group(20+) that kept growing and the servers took it in stride. The drinks were good and the food was amazing. Our only complaint would be that they wouldn’t split up the checks which was a little weird when you’re among a group of acquaintances and people you don’t know but I understand given the size of the crowd. Still, great food and good service.
