Best breakfast I have ever had. The
Dungeness Crab Eggs Benedict is beyond amazing. Sushi is some of the freshest. Overall great views, great service and beautiful decor. One of the best restaurants at SFO.

Located within the Grand Hyatt SFO, Quail + Crane is, in our opinion, the nicest airport restaurant in the United States. The restaurant is beautiful, I had what was the best chicken pad thai ever, and my sever tonight was on point and excellent. If you’re staying at the Grand Hyatt SFO Quail + Crane is a must visit experience.

We’re local and were looking for a spot with both vegan and non vegan options to have brunch when we stumbled upon Quail and Crane. We were initially bummed to discover at noon on a Saturday that there was no brunch, and breakfast ends at 11, but we were so impressed and delighted by the lunch options that we will definitely be back. It’s so hard to find vegan eggs, and I was able to get them on the incredible vegan fried rice dish, which I was thrilled about! And my partner loved his wings and spam fried rice. Service was excellent, ambiance was stunning, highly recommend.

What a fun airport hotel restaurant location! You’re able to look right out on the airport, watching planes come and go. Service was absolutely impeccable. Cocktails were amazing — creative and fun while being delicious and beautiful. (Only complaint is that the bar is upstairs and it can take some time to get a cocktail) Wine list is solid, with excellent choices at reasonable prices. Food was out of this world!! We had Shrimp Fried Rice, the Wagyu burger, and the Scallops. All were cooked perfectly and plated beautifully. We didn’t leave a single crumb! Highly recommend eating here, even if you’re not flying anywhere!!

Great spot if you have a layover and have the time. You can access the hotel from the skytrain, and the restaurant is only a flight of stairs below the lobby. Food was pretty good, and the menu was interesting. They were out of some things we were interested in, but the menu was big enough to give us other options. Service was just okay (not bad, just so-so). We had a 3.5 hour layover, and that was plenty of time to have a nice, non-rushed meal and make it back through security with no problems.

Quail and Crane is an interesting fusion restaurant that has a lot of the high quality elements of a fine dining restaurant mixed with some oddly less premium feeling elements.

Positives: This is basically fine dining within minutes of the airport. That’s a huge benefit and the hotel itself is spotless and modern. The food is delicious if a bit overpriced, and seasoned well. Staff are attentive. Materials in the tables and chairs feel thoughtful and expensive/plush.

Negatives: The view of airport tarmac is uninspiring and a little drab, no matter the time of day. The price tag is high for what you’re actually getting, and the menu coming on a beat-up iPad is pretty cheap feeling (like those airport pizza places nowadays). It’s very at odds with the otherwise classier atmosphere.

The sushi is competent and reasonably sourced, but overpriced for the venue — so aim for other menu items if you care at all about “value” here.

4.6-4.7 stars here. It’s not Michelin tier but the Hyatt knows what they’re doing and I really love all the large wood slabs for tables and bars — (these are not cheap to make and look beautiful).

I went to Quail + Crane several times for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is EXCELLENT !!! So is the dinner (I didn’t take photos of it). We love the breakfast though. The food is REALLY good and the Chinese woman whom served us was extremely nice (Kudos to her for being an excellent server).

My son and I got the crab cake eggs benedict (it was way better than the ham version). We also got the waffles (eat them first otherwise the waffle gets a bit soft), and the oatmeal (that also hit the spot)

Would I eat there again ? Absolutely.

Quail + Crane is a casual restaurant on 3/F of Grand Hyatt at SFO. The restaurant with a high ceiling is elegant and relaxing. It has a good view of the airport as well. Online reservation is straightforward. Servers are friendly and attentive. Food is reasonably priced. The California cuisine which utilizes local ingredients shows much Japanese influence. Interestingly, miso soup is served at the table! Highly recommend the refreshing House Smoked Ahi Tuna Poke (USD 21) and the tasty Dungeness Crab and Lobster Tagliatelle (USD 40).

Hotel breakfast is also served at Quail + Crane. Both the Cereal French Toast (USD 20) and Buttermilk Pancakes (USD 19) are fresh and fulfilling.

Came here for dinner after a late flight. The ambience is nice and soothing with a view of the airplanes. Salmon sushi roll was good as well as the crab cakes. Service was attentive and prompt.
