Food is excellent. I had the brisket platter with baked beans and sweet potato bites. I also had dry rub wings which I shared. My daughter had the chicken platter with baked beans and Mac n cheese. We both liked our food and we sampled each others. This place rocks and the owners are genuine and nice. A must try!

Everything that we ordered was hands down some of the best meat we’ve ever tasted.

Fat Mac’s BBQ was fantastic! I happened upon them when the original restaurant we had intended on going to was closed, and I’m so glad we found Fat Mac’s. The gentleman who came to take my order at the car was so friendly, kind and considerate because I was having trouble trying to view the menu online to order. The food was phenomenal, generous portions and packed with care. I would highly recommend this restaurant for BBQ, sides and service!!!

This is the first time I’ve been here, never sure when they’re open. But the food is good , I had the brisket which is not cut thin but it’s great, the fried chicken breast is good , it tasted smoked so if ur allergic u might want to double check. They advertise that they don’t put meat in their vegetables (are beans vegetables?) There was hamburger and green peppers and onions in the baked beans and I found that interesting and delicious. It’s the only place I have found that doesn’t put pork into everything they make, which I am thankful for.

Ridiculous. Their ribs, brisket, wings, mac and cheese, sweet corn…..just like Grams used to make. People have commented on wait times…. Who cares!!! I would stand in line all day for these tasty vittles! Real smoky bbq with perfect seasoning and outstanding homemade quality! I’m officially in love with Fat Macks North Carolina BBQ. You have to try their Brisket, better then Texas BBQ and I would never admit that. All our food was fresh and amazing. Home run y’all. We will be back! And a theme is arriving in NC. … first two times, this food was amazing…. But consistency is obviously not a thing here. 4th time and the mac and cheese was an oily mess, the brisket was cubed cut and a gelatin like substance. The wings have changed too, but the sauce saved them. This went from a 5 star experience to a 2 star, consistency is key. Find your rhythm Fast….

For those in the Reidsville area that have not been to Fat Macs BBQ, you are missing some of the best food in the area. Just be prepared to be patient. This not a grand scale operation and the food is not frozen in packets waiting for the microwave. It is two very nice people and perfection takes time. If you want fast food, go to McDonald’s. Been there twice and plan to order from there again.

I really wanted to like this place… but after ordering at the counter and sitting down in a mostly empty restaurant at 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon, I continued to wait another 38 minutes before my order of brisket was delivered. There wasn’t much brisket (it also had a lot of fat and veiny tissues), but it was tender. It also tasted like it had been reheated from the day before, so maybe that’s why it took so long? The person in charge (owner?) offered no apology or reason for the delay and seemed annoyed when I asked at the 30 minute mark if the food would be out soon. Save your time and money – as there are far better places to have bbq in NC.

I have used Fat Mac’s for two Catering orders and have not been disappointed yet. The food is always fresh and meat to order. The ordering process is convenient and transparent. From the customer service to the food my experience has never been amazing.

Best BBQ, brisket and wings I’ve ever had(don’t tell my dad). Got the lemon pepper wings and highly recommend them, so crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. The baked beans are practically chilli they’re so good and the hush puppies are little fried clouds of sweet tastiness. And dirt cheap! They just reopened and it seems like people haven’t figured out yet so get in here before it gets packed.
