Yummm, one stop gas and food stop. Tacos were great, got the carnitas and brisket delicious. Very reasonably priced. 34$ for 3 people. Cool drink machine, try the Dr Pepper strawberry!

I consider myself to be a taco connoisseur. We have eaten at pretty much every Mexican and taco restaurant in Denton and Cooke County. This place was among the worst. Tacos were bland and flavorless. I have never in my life had to add salt to a taco until I ate here. It didn’t help much – the cilantro looked old, wilted, and soggy. Asada was gristly. Chips had zero salt. Queso had no taste. Lemonade in the drink machine tasted strongly of artificial powdered lemonade, as if it had way too much powder/flavor. Rice was hard (it was either old and dried out or undercooked) and refried beans were cold! Gross. Girl working at the front was not necessarily unfriendly, but she certainly was not friendly either. I asked her what she recommended and she just kind of shrugged and looked like a deer in headlights. When the food was ready, she just sat it on the counter and told us it was ready rather than bringing it to us, even though she had nothing to do…yet expects a tip….as so many order-at-the counter places expect now. We were the only customers. Definitely won’t be back!

We love the tacos here. They have a smoker out back that they make some of the meat in. We are locals and you will not find a healthier or more delicious taco in the area. The service is usually very quick even when they are busy. They have plenty of tables to use to enjoy your meal. Everyone we have taken here enjoys the food too. Just go and order the different type of tacos to figure out your favorites, they are all reasonably priced. The fries and burgers are great too. You can also get Pepsi or Coke products. The store is kept clean and the bathrooms are always immaculate.

Tried the tacos during breakfast (chorizo & egg) and during lunch (chicken, ribeye and shrimp) are all pretty good. Taco soup and salads are pretty good too. Now the burger, although it looks good the flavor is lacking. Tried adding salt and pepper to the burger but it didn’t help. Big, oh yeaha good size just lacks flavor. Friendly staff and inside a gas station but still a good place to eat. Fries sure on point with the right amount of seasoning. Tacos are good too!!

I ordered the quesabirrias to go, everything was served, except for my “consomé” Im sorry I cannot let this slide. It’s the most important thing to make this a delicious plate. 1 STAR

Normally you would have to go all the way to Denton for tacos this good, but tucked right on the interstate was a place that surprised me immensely. The tacos were extremely good, came at a decent price, and were made quickly and fresh. Pictured are the Barbacoa, the Shrimp, the Fish, and the Rib-eye tacos from left to right respectively. Will definitely be coming back here! The owner was extremely friendly and welcomed me for my first visit, and even checked on how I was liking it. Not your average gas station fare.

Going downhill…I’ve stopped here many times. Always looking forward to having Wicked Tacos. The place feels dirty and looks to be under new ownership?? 3 tacos. Shrimp, ribeye, and pork. The only one that had hardly any meat was the ribeye. The shrimp taco was sooo small, on a flour shell, and the shrimp was hard and rubbery. I will pass up this stop in the future. So sad.

The Cashier, Wendy is awesome. Very friendly and listened to my inane babble about my house and problems with a smile on her face. The Ribeye tacos are super good. As is the green and red sauce. I also got the patty melt burger. No cheese though because I don’t like cheese. But it was good. The fries were soggy, but that’s probably my fault. And still super good.
And the showers. Oh. My. God. The showers. The best shower I have ever used at a truck stop. Period. 100% recommended stopping here just for the shower.

When I ordered a quesbirria, you gave me very little birria and a lot of cheese. What a ripped-off and fake Mexican food I’ve ever seen! You don’t know how to make a correct quesbirria. Thank you for robbing me of $16.99 for four tacos with more cheese than birria! I won’t come back again! You need to visit El Paso, TX or Tucson, AZ to learn how to cook correctly. Are you trying hard to be Mexican food? I think you’re more likely American food than Mexican because of how you cook rice and quesbirria!

First time in Gainesville’s Wicked Taco and YOU have to go! It’s not the cutest spot but if you’re pulling up here your not coming to look around because you’ll be face down in these taco’s. The Rib Eye is to die for. IT WAS FIRE!! The service I received was quick and fast, I ordered through the online app. I will definitely be back again. Wickedly Good.
