Best Indian food in town, hands down! They have both halal & vegan options meeting the needs of virtually any dietary needs. Always get good service and the food always comes out fresh. Never tried the buffet. This place would get six stars if they updated the interior and the menus to clearly point out the dietary options like those listed above.

I got the chicken korma and hubby got the chicken vindaloo. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Mine was absolutely delicious. Got a level 7 spice, I like spicy food and it was perfect. I can’t speak to the buffet, but I don’t like to get the buffet at most restaurants and at Indian places in particular, because it seems the food from the menu always tastes better.

This is one of the best Indian restaurants you will ever find. I have been coming here for a few years and it’s great. You never know what will be on the buffet because the offerings change Dailey. So it’s a surprise every time. Plus this food is spicy and tasty. It’s a pleasure to eat here. So happy to be able to get my Indian food fix.

So the good part about this dining experience was the service. It was quick and attentive. We came with a party of 4 and the our food came at once and the water stayed full. Actually this was probably the best part of the dinner.
As for the food, it was just meh. It was nothing really to talk about and not very impressive compared to other Indian food that I’ve had, and considering the price it’s a little much IMO. Granted that I haven’t had much Indian food in this area to compare it with, I’ve had my fair share in OH and CA so these are pretty well “ventured” palates.

I brought my entire family to Saffron today and was denied service. We waited for a waiter to come clear off tables to accommodate us and no one ever showed. It was so bad that a family eating their meal left early and apologized for the lack of service we were given. Furthermore, when my mother approached the manager and asked if we should leave, he smugly insinuated that we should. After about 20 minutes of awkwardly standing in a very small intimate restaurant, my family of 15 people left. No one ever apologized or attempted to offer us any type of hospitality. The whole experience was absolutely taxing and humiliating. My hope is that this is not normal procedure at this restaurant. However, if it is, you have been warned.

Horrible customer service. They don’t approach you at all and we had to go to the waiter ourselves for a table. There were 2 people working who were very nice but didn’t approach us. The food was below average. Not a lot of variety. There is no flavor in most of the dishes. Chicken tikka masala wasn’t good at all. The chicken was undercooked and tasted rubbery. The chicken tandoor had no flavor as well. The goat dish was good though. They can def improve on the flavor of the dishes. This is for people who don’t like spicy food. People who like spicy food will not like this restaurant at all. Buffet for 2 people wasn’t really worth 27 dollars.

The moment you walk into the place and perceive the aroma of the food you know it’s gonna be really good! The Buffett was really good and also great price. I had a little bit of everything and I love all the food but specially the mushrooms were the best, the chicken bryani and the lamb curry were really tasty too, if you want dessert they have fruit which I consider a very good option since it was fresh and sweet. The place is run by the family and all of them are really nice and attentive, don’t forget to get some chai and mango lassi. My husband and I been here twice in 3 days and both times we weren’t disappointed. Strongly recommended place for Indian food.

First time in to the reopened SAFFRON on the Mileground. Buffet was just excellent! Owner very pleasant in our early visits. We have found that there is absolutely NO energy flowing from the staff. It clearly appears that they care little about what they are doing. Food remains good on most occasions.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting. Good, fairly priced Indian food. The only reason, I as a frequenter to this restaurant, didn’t give it 5 stars is because of the buffet table, which is a little awkwardly placed forcing you to reach over to the other side. However it’s not that big of a deal, and for the quality of food and service this is certainly a family favourite
