After seeing the mistreatment of a customer and her kids I won’t be eating here again. Her and her family were an avid customer of the company as well. It’s sad to see an owner of a company would yell at a woman with her husband and small children about salsa..

Anyone that has ordered chips or tacos understands how much salsa those need … it’s a personal preference and if a business establishment has a problem with how much you take they should definitely put that up on a sign somewhere.. unfortunate that people have to be treated this way by owners!

Closer than California! Delicious Mexican food that I missed from living in California! Welcoming greetings when you enter, so many choices and prices are very reasonable! Place is exceptionally clean and Hilda was very helpful explaining menu and options. So many different seafood options, fresh salsa bar too! Give it a try there is something for everyone!

A good friend of mine texted me a pic of his food the other day, so i just had to come & try it. I ordered 2 Al pastor & 2 Cabeza tacos, the Birria tacos, my wife had the flautas and my daughter the ceviche de camaron tostadas. It was great salsa bar could’ve had a bit more different salsas but that’s ok cuz it was still good. We’ll be back for the Birria tacos.

I had the misfortune of blowing a tire on my vehicles and luckily a tire place was located in the plaza I pulled in to. Since I had to wait for the new tire to be placed on my car, I decided to see if there was a place I could grab some Lunch while I waited and came upon this Mexican restaurant! The atmosphere was very casual with one placing their order at the counter and the food was brought out to my table once prepared. The hostess was very personable and gave me a great recommendation! I enjoyed the Costa Brava plate which consisted of bacon wrapped shrimp and carne asada. Accompanying the meat and seafood were corn tortillas, crispy fries, refried beans and rice and a roasted jalapeño pepper. All was tasty and enjoyable. Recommend dropping by and eating at this location when in the area!

Trying out a new restaurant in Rio Rancho!

The establishment is still working on the interior. This is a large establishment once inside I think they have plenty to add for atmosphere.

It looks like there may be an area for beer and mixed drinks toward the back that is still progress. A liquor license is still in the works!

I ordered the Tostado Mixta (Mixed Ceviche) and Pozole

My Mixta plate come out quickly and looked great. A nice fresh plate of blended seafood , fresh vegetables , guacamole and more. The pozole serving is huge! I was thinking a cup size to complete my Mixta. I’ll be taking good food home.

The red chili is really good with just the right amount of kick!

They have been back in service for three weeks and with COVID relaxing they should have a good go at being successful.

Five stars for now. The interior has allot of potential. Let’s see what happens!

I had the quesabirria, oh my goodness…. It was delicious and I can’t wait to go back. This is not Tex Mex, or southwestern, it’s Mexican and it’s a wonderful break from the usual fare you get here in New Mexico. I like my read and green don’t get me wrong but this is a step up in my opinion. Highly recommend!

Same great carne asada street tacos as the 4th street Tex Mex! No onion or cilantro for me, please and thank you!Same exact menu from the looks of it. Salsa bar was good! The agua Fresca limon was too sweet. Good experience. Not too busy inside but locals were in and out for call in orders.

Rio rancho has very few “Local” restaurants. This place is good and authentic! Glad to get away from all the food chain restaurants.
