Mona’s French Cafe is a hidden gem in Cypress. I had a delicious croque monsieur and a basket of fries. The sandwich was cooked to perfection. The restaurant has an inviting ambience, and I look forward to going back again soon. I definitely need to try some French pastries on my next visit. The owner Mona was working and very friendly; she has a great restaurant.

We hosted our Fall Social at Mona’s French Café in Cypress, and it was absolutely perfect! The location was ideal with plenty of parking, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, great wine, delicious food, and the most heavenly pastries.

A huge thank you to Mona, Steve, and our server Tye for making the experience so seamless and special for our group and guests. Every detail was handled with care, and we can’t wait to come back again soon!

I have been looking for authentic croissants all over houston and finally found a place: This place is an authentic French and German cafe! Both owners and chef are French and German and super friendly and welcoming. Food is amazing and place is very cute and clean. We will be coming back a lot.

This was my first time here.

I was the only person eating, so the service was quick. I am not sure how it will be when they are busy. There was only 1 waiter at the time.

I ordered the combo quiche & soup that came with a small salad. The quiche florentine was a good portion size and had good flavor. I was surprised it had onion because it wasn’t listed as an ingredient on the menu. I did end up picking some of the larger pieces out. The soup of the day was tomato basil which seemed homemade. I always worry some places are just grabbing something out of a can.

I also had a regular coffee. It was okay, not very strong.

The design of the restaurant is cute and would be a nice place to meet up for a brunch. I thought the 80s music was a bit loud, especially with there only being 3 people at the time. There wasn’t a need to drown out other sounds.

We had the best experience eating dinner at Mona’s Cafe! I have been wanting to try this place and it definitely did not disappoint! The generous portions, warm comforting food and incredibly delicious meals were outstanding. The ambience was so different from most restaurants, in how they have private dining areas for each side table. It really gives a sense of intimacy with a warm cozy vibe that preps you for the incredible meal to arrive.
Go, EAT, enjoy. You can thank me later over some of the mouth watering desserts.

Such a beautiful place to eat with cute little vignettes. We were seated in a lovely little nook that was perfect for us. I had a delicious Coqueline crêpe with an amazing Napoleon for dessert! The staff was very friendly and welcoming as well. Can’t wait to come back!

Very nice place. I love French food. I will definitely be back. I had a savory crepe, with ham and cheeses and tomato and had some oregano in it. Very tasty, I liked having a small salad too. Got try a bite of quiche and it was very good too.
I got the apple strudel crepe and took it home, I thought the crepe was good but the strudel ok. But I will def try others and can’t wait to try other things here.
My mother is gluten and dairy free, she was able to find thing to eat. The waiter was very helpful in answering her questions

5/5 – its a comforting, humble, happy and good overseas experience. Will return and will definitely sit in the cute home designed booths

Food – great! Super authentic in flavor profile, you can taste the homemade nature of it, it wasn’t out of a can or box. Cheese plate had a super good selection, and I’m not a big cheese guy. French onion soup wasn’t overly salted like other places, giant amount of onions and cheese. German meatballs were homey and cozy, beef stew was homemade and super comforting! Vitamin boost juice was refreshing and thr ingredients mixed well (normally ginger is too spicy in a drink but this was healthy and light).

Ambience – super cute, there is an open dining area, cozy little rooms on the side and then SUPER CUTE little dining areas, these are designed like parts of houses, so you could eat in a pretty kitchen on the island, or in a rustic set piece

Service – friendly, attentive and cozy, the owner was super nice and kept up with us as we sped up and slowed down on different parts of the meal

The food was amazing. Very traditional French and German food. Service was wonderful. My husband is from France and he said the food reminded him of his family’s. The creme’ brule was amazing and so was the apple tart. The restaurant is clean and has fun little nooks that are private and homey like you are in your own home. Will definitely be back!

The owner was wonderful. We came late, but she found a table for 6, and we stayed after closing, not realizing they closed.
The food was exceptional. They do have wine, including bubbles. We got to the restaurant so late all the croissants were gone, so call ahead to make sure they have them and make a reservation. The dessert crepes were a huge hit.
We will put it on our list of go-to places. I
