We had a BOGO coupon so we thought we’d give them a try. Went on a Sunday afternoon after church and the place wasn’t too busy. Food was average and so was the service. We asked to have the french fries made crispy and the server said “no problem ” So, when the fries came out they were far from crispy so we asked if they could make them crispier “no problem ” was the reply. Anyway, the real problem was that the fries never came back until we were done with our meals and ready to leave. However, we did stay to eat the fries because they were incredibly hot AND crispy !

Pretty darn good. Baby backs had slathered in tasty but too sweet sauce. Service was killer but so was price.

We have been going to Woody’s for years. I even remember a location on Granada right near the beach years and years ago. The Wednesday night special is a full rack (mine was separated into three pieces in the photo) and two sides. The price has gone up a little but is still a good deal and comparable to everywhere else. They have a very friendly Staff and you get great service. It is a little out of the way and the building looks a little tired but there is still a wonderful meal and wonderful people waiting for you inside!

I’ve been to a lot of Woody’s restaurants but this was the first time at the Holly Hill location, and the last. Baked beans were burnt, sliced pork fell apart as soon as you stuck the fork in it. Ribs were overdone. Coleslaw seemed like it was a soup. No cornbread, no sandwich buns. I guess our first clue should have been that it was empty at 6pm on a Saturday night. I’m not a big fan of Sonny’s, but I wished I had gone there instead.

1-Star Review – Woody’s BBQ
The pulled pork tasted like it came straight out of a can—cold, mushy, and absolutely nothing like BBQ. To make matters worse, there wasn’t a soul in the restaurant, yet it still took 30 minutes for them to serve me cold pork. That should’ve been the first red flag—an empty dining room at mealtime speaks volumes.
Service was terrible; staff couldn’t be bothered to get off their phones, and the cook with long curly hair wasn’t even wearing a hairnet. The restaurant itself was disgusting. The bathroom reeked of urine and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks.
The beans were bland (though hot), and when I ordered a sweet potato, they were out. I asked for a loaded baked potato instead, the server said okay—but then brought me a plain potato with butter. When I questioned it, she told me they don’t even offer loaded potatoes. That could’ve been clarified upfront instead of wasting my time and money.
I spent $36 just to throw everything in the trash. I was born in Texas, grew up in Florida, and lived in Tennessee for ten years—I know what real BBQ is supposed to be. This wasn’t BBQ. This was slop I wouldn’t feed to pigs.
Avoid this place at all costs. The food isn’t properly temperature-checked, the service is lazy, the cleanliness is unacceptable, and I honestly don’t know how they pass health inspections. If you value your stomach and your money, don’t even think about walking in the door.

Ordered a full rack of St Louis style ribs today with just a dry rub no sauce so my meal would be keto. Absolutely excellent ribs! Smoked perfect, meaty, filling. Just so wonderful and such a day off treat! I had it with a tossed salad. Came with plenty of cheese and a good size side of ranch which was plenty. I still have half the ribs in my fridge. Salad was CRISP and FRESH FRESH! So delicious. I will be ordering here again!

Walked in, 87 degrees out, no AC and pretty humid inside. Lots of fans going, doors open. Flies around doing their thing. We sat at the bar. Beer was buy one get one for a buck. We ordered the sampler to get a little bit of everything and it came with two sides. We got baked beans and mashed potatoes and gravy. Those were fantastic. The chicken was over cooked and no flavor. All the meat was cold except for the sausage. The ribs, brisket and sausage tasted pretty good, even cold. It was entertaining sitting at the bar and watching the staff, most of the staff seemed moody except for our server. The staff was definitely hustling though. Not sure that I would recommend this place.

The food is hot and the staff is polite.
Some of the chicken wings didn’t look fresh, some of them looked like they had freezer burn. They were sold out of most of their desserts, and I was told they get their shipments in on Monday, and Sunday is when they run out. It took a little while for my food to be ready, despite I was the only table, and when it was prepared to be served, it wasn’t delivered immediately. Not to mention a child briefly walking around barefoot in the kitchen.
The hot sauce on the chicken wings were good, the ribs tasted amazing, and the water tastes clean.
Thank you for my lunch.

So yummy! Great service! My boyfriend and I shared the Woody’s platter and when it came they had already split it all up on 2 plates for us. It was so much food. The appetizer onion rings and fried zucchini were outstanding!
