A legit hole-in-the-wall in Fort Stockton, TX, and I am so glad I heard about it online while I was planning a road trip. The food here is homemade deliciousness and the brisket tacos we had were soooooo good. Tender, delicious brisket served quick for a very reasonable price. There’s nowhere to sit inside so everything is take out, but there’s plenty of pretty spots to sit and enjoy the tasty food, or you can get back on the road and eat! Either way, you have to stop by Acosta’s and grab some amazing tacos and burritos!

Delicious! We’re just driving through town and wanted a quick brunch. We got the brisket, barbacoa, and papas y chorizo. All of them were good; the brisket was hubby’s favorite and I liked the barbacoa best. Important to note that the burritos include exactly what they say. So a brisket burrito is a huge pile of brisket wrapped in a homemade tortilla. No sauce, no cheese, no fillers. Just a huge pile of deliciously flavored meat. I’m not sure I could buy and cook my own brisket for the price I paid for that burrito. They’ll give you salsa to add if you want the flavor boost, and that was also delicious. As of 01/2026, they were $6 each. A lot of meat in a 12” tortilla; and it was delicious and I didn’t have to cook it. And if you’re a keto/carnivore eater, just order it and then give the tortilla to someone you love. I don’t know where else you can get a giant roadside hunk of delicious meat for $6. Highly recommend!

Acosta’s homemade tortillas are delicious! The staff is wonderful and quick to take your order. Anytime I’m in town I’m usually getting their menudo or breakfast burritos. I will say this is a take out spot so be prepared to take your food to go. I’ve never had a bad meal here so stop by sometime if you haven’t already.

To-go only, NO INDOOR DINING nor public restrooms. This was recommended to us on our way to Big Bend for breakfast tacos, but we did not realize it was not a dine-in restaurant. Otherwise very friendly staff and delicious food! Took some fresh homemade tortillas to go, can’t wait to have them on the skillet!

Open very early and that was great as we needed to get on the road at the crack of dawn on a Sunday. Good but not great breakfast burrito.
There were a lot of ladies in there making the fresh tortillas which was nice. Tortillas were good. Papas were flavorless and too big and there were too many per burrito. Burrito was about $6 each, they were a good size

The barbacoa burrito was plain greasy meat wrapped in a flavorless tortilla. Charge me $9 for that and a soda. No prices marked on the wall so they charge you what they want it seems. I don’t know who’s giving these guys good reviews but I wouldn’t believe them.

Edited to add: my son got pretty sick after eating the bean and cheese burritos.
This is a to-go restaurant only. They have a big parking lot for RVs. The burritos were really good, especially the tortillas. However they were really expensive. For 8 burritos (a little bigger than a taco) is was $50. My hubs and wonder if maybe they increased the price since we were obviously from out of town?

Family owned taco joint, with good food. I always get a breakfast taco, and it’s always good. My wife and father-in-law love their menudo.
More of a takeout place.

Her tamales were spicy but delicious – recommend at least 2..!
The burritos are smaller than a ‘normal’ Tex-Mex one but are priced accordingly aaaand they are delicious…! I had x2 and was satisfied – the barbacoa specifically was one of the best I have had in a long time and highly recommended..! They are just meat not with rice and beans, etc.
The empanadas on the counter are also fantastic – like a biscochito taste and texture put some pineapple taste inside..!
I spoke enough Spanish to have no issues ordering and they take Visa, too. You won’t find a better lunch for the money!

The tortilla makes a difference! These burritos are probably the best burritos in Fort Stockton. All the other burrito places have great meat and chili but use store bought tortillas and it’s a real let down in flavor. This place has the right idea with in house made tortillas. At $3 a burrito with homemade tortillas, it’s not a large burrito but I think it’s a good deal. Theirs no where to sit though, you just order and go to the park or to a friend’s place. The burritos are good quality and if you need a quick bite, this is miles ahead of any fast-food or chain you will find down the street. I would suggest trying their asado burrito or the Chile Verde con asadero y carne de res.
