North Carolina’s first donate-what-you-can restaurant. Preparing nourishing meals, sourced locally when possible, to all diners, regardless of means. Daily changing menu always featuring vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Abundant volunteer opportunities available!
Pay-what-you-can, locally sourced cafe meals are the draw at this charming, daytime establishment.

Amazing, fresh, healthy and local food with great lunch options for vegetarians, meat-eaters and other diets (ie GF or vegan). Such a cool, wonderful concept that allows people to pay what they can and donate meals for others. They also offer hygiene products and social services information in the restrooms. Wish we had this “love thy neighbor” restaurant concept in other cities. Please publish a F.A.R.M. cookbook!

I highly recommend this amazing nonprofit to anyone visiting Boone! It is a pay-what-you-can restaurant on King St that is only open for lunch. They always have amazing and healthy options with vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, etc. options! Kids eat free and you can order a small or large plate!
Every meal comes with a soup, entree, sides, salad, drink, and a sweet treat!

Lively, humanized, and meaningful eating experiences. I enjoyed listening to people’s stories related to this restaurant. Eating at the farm cafe is serving our community and caring for our environment. Loved seeing people’s smiles and laughters.

Great concept! Have a decent meal, and address hunger in the High Country.
Non-profit donate what you can…suggested donation of $7 for a “small plate”…more than enough for lunch, and beats a $10+ fried fast food lunch!
Fixed menu each day…clearly a community hub…feels like everybody knows each other here.
Great job!

This place offers an incredible sense of community and warmth, making you feel like a true local from the moment you step in. Their mission to ensure everyone is fed is both inspiring and heartfelt, adding an extra layer of meaning to the experience. The food is absolutely delicious, with thoughtful options for everyone, including vegans—highlighted by their impressive vegan cheese offerings. It’s more than just a meal; it’s a place where great food meets a great cause.

We finally were able to stop by for lunch. Wonderful cafe. Volunteers are very helpful and explained everything to us. Food was really delicious – especially the soup! You pay either the suggested donation or a bit more or you volunteer. Great idea – everyone eats!

There is nothing negative to say about this place! ❤️
They are some of the most heartfelt people i ever met. Not only do they provide nourishment for everyone…. hence Feed All Regardless of Means….. but they provide nourishment for the soul, as well.
Much of their work is fulfilled by volunteers, and a few employees. To say that each meal is prepared with TLC is an understatement.
There are many resources for those battling poverty, and if they are not able to assist, they can lead you in the right direction.
All in all, if you need a great meal, AND a fantastic community…. look no further!!!!

My favorite restaurant in the country. I look forward to going here every year on my visit to Blowing Rock. You get up to 4 courses of food (salad, soup, entree, dessert). How could you not love getting 4 courses !! The food changes everyday as they get it from local farms. Very healthy! It’s a pay what you can restaurant. The volunteers are friendly. 10/10! You should visit.
