My wife and I took my adult niece here on a Sunday evening and really enjoyed everything! Although the place was constantly busy at the time, our server was consistently super friendly and efficient. In fact, all three of the workers we saw looked genuinely happy as they worked. And the food made us happy too!
The portions were generous and tasty. I had the beef tacos and a lot of my wife’s chicken nachos. My neice had an enormous burrito, half of which she needed to take home for another day.
Everything was fresh and perfectly seasoned.
Service was great. There was some confusion with our order that was rectified very professionally.
Atmosphere felt nice with decoration and Mexican music playing all throughout. Somewhat tighter seating conditions but not to any point of discomfort.
The chips (not hot) were tasty, and 2 bottles of salsa were on the table. I preferred the green
For dinner, we split a chicken stew, which was beyond expectations. Next time, we’ll try the beef version. To accompany the soup, we had a carnitas quesadillas. Overall, it was a nice dinner, tasty and very filling. We’ll go back
My biggest issue is with their guac. 0/5, the texture is completely off and so is the ratio of avocado to filling. It’s so watered down and liquidy, almost slimy. It doesn’t taste bad but with the texture you can’t call it guac. Maybe we got a bad batch.
Boyfriend rated al pastor tacos as a 5/5.
We ate here today, Monday,10/21/24,around 5:00 p.m., it was our second visit. We have not visited in over a year but returned and
met the same owner.
I would NOT recommend this place for Authentic Mexican Food!!!
The food is not as good as the first time.
Pros:
Owner is nice.
Small place, good decor
BYOB
Additional al fresco, sidewalk dining ( if you like ).
Cons:
Burrito: chicken and entire Burrito contents were skimpy (Burrito was Small) and bland! Lacking not only spice but flavor, pricey at $14. with chips that I told them I do not eat or want. Very little Guacamole and Pico de Gallo inside it.
It is more like Tex Mex food and the server agreed. (?)
A taco bell Burrito grande is larger and more tasty.
Huarache: Just okay, mediocre size, pricey at $15.50 .
Salsas Roja y Verde not that pica (spicy).
Plastic cups with ice for BYOB.(?)
I guess no glasses.(?)
3.5 % fee added for credit card purchases, common these days.
Paid check first then complained, but no apologies from server or owner.
As with most places, bathroom could have been cleaner and back area near kitchen could be much cleaner.
We were very disappointed and will not be returning!!!
I would NOT recommend this restaurant to family or friends!!!
