I’m very happy that we took the 20 minute trek off the highway to visit this place! We got to enjoy an authentic Middle Eastern meal that was outstanding!
We took a couple of stars away for atmosphere. The space is large with many tables, we visited around 2pm (not lunch time, not dinner time either) and since there was no music playing it was very quiet. A little background noise would have made the experience better.

We ordered the Foul Moudammas (mashed fava beans served with a large tandoori flatbread) and the Lamb Haneeth (served with rice and an eggplant & okra side). We grabbed a smoothie to go. Everything was delicious and we’re so pleased that we came. Next time we’re driving through, we will definitely come back here!!

Still thinking about this meal!!! My husband (who’s Moroccan) said this is the best lamb he’s had in the U.S., which says a lot. I had the chicken with babaganoush and hummus, it was absolutely delicious. The broth they serve with it is so cozy, and the house salad was super fresh. Honestly, everything hit the spot. Highly recommended, We’ll definitely be back

I tried the chicken fasha here, and it was amazing — rich, flavorful, and served piping hot in a stone bowl. What really stood out was the giant, freshly baked bread that came with it — soft on the inside with a perfect char and black seeds on top. The dish looked as good as it tasted — great presentation and even better flavor. The restaurant was quiet, clean, and had a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re craving something hearty and authentic!

I went for breakfast. I really liked the fresh, hot bread and the fried meat and eggs.

Delicious food with very friendly service. It easily exceeded expectations, from appetizers to the main dishes, and conveyed a warm sense of hospitality not just from the cuisine but also the staff serving it.

The quality and flavor of the food, with an unexpected highlight being the fresh bread, surpasses the vast majority of what you will find at most other Middle Eastern eateries across the country, including in medium sized and some large cities. It’s truly a gem in Utica and it’ll be a staple every time I visit.

Had a really great lunch.

Came in for something different and really enjoyed our meal. I had their shawarma sandwich which was really tasty. It was served as what I would call a combo between a wrap and a panini. Very good for sure.

My wife had their chicken curry pot. It came out boiling hot, but once we could eat it – it was amazing! It comes with a HUGE flat bread to dip and eat with. We took probably about half of it home because the serving was so big.

Food was great. Service was ok. Our server never came to check on us, which I don’t care for. But excellent meal.

The restaurant itself is not updated at all.

Visited this restaurant after a recommendation from a friend. And I was not disappointed at all. The atmosphere was great, the staff was friendly, and the restaurant and facilities are very clean (they even have a bidet in the bathroom!).
We traveled for almost an hour to get here and it was well worth it. We went for all traditional Yemeni meals, and didn’t opt for their Mediterranean choices (though I heard they’re also good). The whole family enjoyed the meal, as they were delicious and portions were generous. The Lamb haneeth was their star meal. However, we also loved the maraq (broth/soup) meat qilabah, the fahsah, and the fasoolia (beans) which we ordered dry-cooked according to our liking. Their rashoosh bread was also extremely delicious and freshly baked and the fatah (desert) was as a charm. Prices were also reasonable compared to the offering. I’m glad I came here, and already looking forward to visiting again. Would recommend this to anyone trying to look for a good Yemeni restaurant.

This was our first time at a Yemini restaurant. We love to try different types of foods and this restaurant did not disappoint. We tried the fassolia and the baba ghanoush. The meals came with a freshly baked large round flat bread and a salad. Both very good. My only criticism is that I thought that the fassolia would have more flavor.
