I saw this place on social media and wanted to stop in to support this local black-owned business for breakfast. They serve lunch and dinner as well.
I ordered a few different things off the menu since they were running some specials, including the fried shrimp, grits, the breakfast eggrolls, which I got with bacon and egg, as well as the breakfast sandwich, which I got with sausage patties.
Everything was delicious and I really enjoyed everything I got! The breakfast eggrolls are a little on the greasy side, so something to keep in mind for the future.
They were pretty busy that morning so it took a minute to get my pick up order but you can call ahead/order online to place orders which I definitely would to save you some time in the future.

And that was the only thing that was warm. Cold food warm drink. Thanks for ruining my breakfast. $40 dollars never again and yes I only got one breakfast an a orange juice.

I used the Too Good To Go app, which I usually love for discovering new restaurants before going back officially. Jackson’s Soul Food had two options — a $15 bag thats 5$ and a $21 thats bag that’s 8$ — so I went with the higher-priced one expecting something substantial.
Instead, I received about seven wings that were clearly cold, like they came straight from the fridge or freezer, with no seasoning or sauce, and one freezer hash brown. The employee who handed it to me seemed annoyed and didn’t even check which bag I ordered — it felt like he just grabbed something to get it over with.
If a restaurant doesn’t actually have fresh food to offer, why participate in the app? Isn’t the whole point to reduce waste, not hand out old or leftover food from the day before? The inside also felt disorganized and questionable overall. Terrible service and experience — I wouldn’t spend another dollar here. And the other comments saying Black Owned Businesses rely on reviews- so why do you allow your business to be displayed like this? Are we supposed to lie and say it’s good?

The food is excellent, I just wish she would answer her phone. The hot honey glaze pork chop is the only thing I order, but it is not on the menu this morning.

Ordered breakfast and spents over $50 which was not worth it in my opinion. The eggs were cold, no cheese. Bacon overcooked and dry! 1 pancake which was very thin and did not taste good. The pastelito doesn’t even look good.

Not even tarter with a fish and fries. Fish was cooked nicely but only on one side. The fries were over seasoned. Most of it went to my begging pets. Disappointed I really wanted some good fish

When I say HIDDEN TREASURE. I mean just that. Just found this place this morning. My bff was craving a black breakfast. And this place literally popped up. The pictures did not disappoint. Young professionals, and the after taste of the food made me drool. I plan on making weekly visits. Food is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
