My boyfriend and I tried this place out because someone recommended it. Everything was great. We aren’t vegan, but we like to try vegan options when they are available. I got the veggie sandwich and my boyfriend got the vegan juevos rancheros. It was really delicious and very affordable especially for downtown Covington.
The service was great also. It’s one of those places where you can tell that they really care about everyone’s experience. We will definitely be going back.

Such a cute and cozy find!
The food was delicious! My sister and I split the Po boy and the strawberry salad, (we couldn’t decide) and it was amazing. The blackened shrimp was so flavorful. The salad was perfectly dressed and not too sweet. Our servers were so kind and asked about our trip and even gave is some awesome recommendations around town. I will be back!

BLTurgeaux sandwich was very good. Opted for the salad instead of the chips. The balsamic dressing was delicious. Also the breakfast basket was nice. Bacon cooked well done as I ordered and it was perfect. The gluten free bread was very thick…. Not for me but others liked it. Atmosphere was super cool…. Great vibes and relaxed and cozy. Wait staff was amazing and super friendly…. Always smiling! If cross contact is an issue or gluten dietary restrictions then this is your place! And even if it isn’t which was my case it has a huge selection. The side fruit was fresh and consisted of blueberry strawberries and grapes. I would highly recommend for any meal or just stop in for a cup of coffee and catch up with friends or work.

Establishment offers multiple allergen, considerate and gluten-free menu options along with an array of other items. When we arrived through us, two other tables in the restaurant. server seemed very new and she seemed out of place we did get our coffee promptly but that’s it. When we finally placed our order, my daughter who is gluten-free for medical reasons placed her order with the server the server then told her we no longer had those items on the menu???Which eliminated many of her food options that she could eat. But we placed our order it took about 50 minutes to come out of the kitchen ,mind you at this point there was one other table in the restaurant Three other tables had left as we were sitting there when we finally finished our meals, which were subpar. I had to go find the server to get my check. The owner or manager seemed to me to be very much not in control of the establishment nor did she seem to care of the service or the quality of her offerings. that were being provided to her customers. The dining room was left with multiple tables with dirty plates utensils and cups left on them for over 40 minutes. I do not recommend nor will we recommend.

My wife and I went for Valentine’s Day and it was fabulous. I am a picky eater and my wife has dietary restrictions. We were both very happy with the meal. The chef came out and spoke to my wife about her restrictions which were all met in a wonderful meal. We have been here several times before and have never been disappointed. Service is consistently great.

Scrumptious cuisine with a lot of homemade elements. The gumbo (we elected not to add rice) was very flavorful, savory, and thick. The management is especially attentive to food allergies and puts a lot of attention to detail in addressing them.
Seating is ample without feeling cramped. Staff are very courteous and helpful.
Parking can be challenging depending on time of day, but it’s a short walk from public parking and side streets.

We started our meal with a mimosa and their Bloody Mary, both of which were impressive. For our main course, we ordered the BBQ shrimp and grits, a waffle, bacon, and cheese grits.
The shrimp and grits were outstanding—the shrimp was well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. The waffle was incredibly fresh, paired beautifully with maple syrup, and the bacon was perfectly crispy. The cheese grits were also a highlight, rich and flavorful. Overall, a fantastic brunch experience that I highly recommend!

So we’re always thrilled to try new places as we’re adventuring in our new home state. The turkey avocado sandwich and potatoes that I got were absolutely delicious, my husband’s smash burger not the best, not caramelized and the burger didn’t taste fresh, maybe frozen.
The service as exceptional, very nice and checked on us throughout our meal.
But being an ex-smoker it was pretty difficult to really enjoy the atmosphere and food as the dining room smelled of old cigar smoke, assuming is from the cigar shop adjacent to them.

Definitely one of the best places to eat in Covington, LA. And the owners are absolutely wonderful souls. They can cater to anyone with food allergies or dietary restrictions, which works well for my boyfriend. Both of our
meals were delicious. I had the potato and red pepper scramble and it was forest. They have some good hot sauce options that I enjoyed as well, the mango was my favorite. My boyfriend had the chorizo burrito and loved it!
I also thought it was cool how Turgeau’s features a bunch of local artists. They seem very connected to their community, I love it.
