Our first visit…We hoped it would be great, but it disappointed us.
I should have known not to order fish at a Mexican restaurant, but I kept seeing their Friday night fish special. $8.99 every Friday night. (3 PCs fish + fries.. No salad or cole slaw)
When we asked about the fish dinner, the server said “he” didn’t take any fish out, but let me check … She returned and said we could order fish. We did, and waited quite some time for deep fried fish and fries. It was just cheap frozen fish. 2 of each of our 3 pieces were almost empty inside the batter. The French fries were good, but catsup came in small packets. When the bill came, we were charged $11.00 each for our dinner. I asked the server about the price difference. She said that price was from several weeks ago. I said the Facebook post said every Friday night. She left the table. Soon she was back with an adjusted bill. She just layed it down and walked away. We really wanted to like eating here, but unfortunately, we don’t eat much Mexican food, so we probably won’t be back.
Oh, we did get free salsa and chips while we waited for our meals.
$3.00 for a little soda in a glass full of ice.

*the worst Mexican food ive ever had* again, not trying to be rude, just honest and dont wanna ruin anyone’s night.
The service was fine. But the food…was DEPLORABLE. It was completely empty and it still topk nearly an hour to get the food
The “Steak/carne asada” was pure gristle. All 3 of us got gristle in nearly every bite, even the chicken tacos. The chicken was canned. No doubt about it. They forgot serve more stuff i ordered.(thank god, it was already a whopping 75$ for the 2 of us.) 75$ and all we got was 6 tacos, 2 chalupas, nachos, and a burrito (i ordered 2 shots of tequila, asked for doubles and got singles(which is could only take 1 bite out of and had to spit it out cause it was crunching with gristle. I am a very laid back person but I fundamentally am disgusted to a severe degree of blatant disregard. Very sad. Very very sad. I had been waiting months to go. Do not go here 🙁
75$ and I went right to university korner gas station and got a pre cheeseburger , and it was beyond the best burger ive had out of such desperation.

The bartender was super super nice. The place has newer owners looks like they are trying to fix it up, but the roof leaks. And the food is ok, not great. Its really bland Mexican food. The nachos were served cold? Cold cheese, cold chicken. The drinks were good. Won’t go back for food, but drinks were nice.

They made great improvements inside- however I was highly anticipating the Mexican food and it was a big letdown. Me and some co workers tried it today at lunch. Insanely disappointed. Spent $23 and still had to go back to work and buy a bag of chips cause I was still hungry. No one in the group was happy with their meal (for various reasons- portions, meat was cold, order wrong etc). My bean and veggie hot plate ($14) was a scoop of dry, unseasoned rice, about 1/3 cup of refried beans and about a quarter cup of unseasoned peppers and onions…and a “salad” (lettuce and tomatoes with no dressing) which may have made sense if the meal had come with tortillas to make your own tacos…but it didn’t. The salsa and chips were GREAT- but not $5.75 (Cozumels and Taco Inc- they’re free). And of course a $3 soda. Don’t get me wrong, I HAPPILY pay for good food. But $23 in for lunch and I’m hungry and food was mediocre at best. Waited a few hours but still mad about my $23. They promised to “make it up” next time. There won’t be a next time for any of us that went today.

Stopped in for a meal and was not disappointed. Courteous staff, new look, good food and reasonable prices. We ordered taco salad, enchiladas, tacos and burritos. Everyone was more than satisfied. The homemade Pico di Gallo was very good with a hint of a bite. We will definitely be back.

I can’t speak for the atmosphere because we had it delivered. For arrived fast and hot. It was a pretty good value for what we ordered also. Food was good and Jay is awesome and super friendly! Probably my new delivery spot.

2nd year in a row we stopped in here. What a great time. The staff is amazing. Super friendly and fun. All the other patrons were awesome as well. We left with way more friends than we arrived with. Great atmosphere. You can relax and enjoy yourself at this spot.
