Arrived after the morning rush and found the Cafe well worn but very clean, with great food and prompt service. We had Sam’s breakfast bowl and heuvos rancheros, both very tasty and very light on salt. Wish we had one like this in our town.

One item that I enjoyed the most was the pickles! It’s not on the menu but I just happened to ask for some and there home made pickles and I had to ask for more. My sister even asked how they made them because she thought they were good too.

A friend took us and it was great. I thought the pancakes were a bit tough or dry but I ate everything on my plate. I could have asked for more syrup. The variety of foods was nice and you can customize your orders and swap this for that if you want. Just ask. I liked the decore of the inside. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. I’d recommend it to friends and family. It was busy and full of lots if different types of people meaning its a local hot spot for food.

Portion sizes and quality of food do not compare to the price. The bill for what’s shown was around $30, not including a tip. Hot chocolate was thick and weird, I didn’t drink it (was also $3-$4 each). My scrambled eggs were like a fake egg substitute cooked like an omelet, not your traditional scrambled egg. The waffle had no flavor. It’s not terrible, but it’s also not a meal i would rush back to.

Absolutely amazing! Food tastes fresh and not greasy like other places. Staff are really nice, but they do need more staff. Amazing people with amazing food. Highly recommend and will be coming back. The seats do have holes in them but that didn’t take away from how nice it was to be there.

This is easily my most favorite place to get breakfast. Every bite of food is full of delicious flavor! I highly recommend LA Morena on Jackson St in Sioux City, theres another one in South Sioux NE right across the river which is also good but this is the one to go try! I got the red chilaques and my fiance got a breakfast bowl, both were amazing! I told the waitress to please tell the chef thank you for such a delicious meal and also thanked her for being a super star waitress!

I chose the Mercy Burrito Verde that has tasty Scrambled Eggs, Hash Browns and Cheese wrapped in a large tortilla with a dollop of sour cream on top, smothered in grilled onions, and the green verde sauce was more soup consistency than a gravy. The combination was delicious. Bring a friend to share or a huge appetite because this dish will keep the healthiest crews satisfied until lunch!
