Takeshi Sushi offers an interesting mix of Japanese and Shandong-style dishes. The dumplings and baozi were actually quite good—fresh and flavorful, a nice surprise on the menu. They fried lotus root was delicious too.
he staff were friendly and welcoming, though the accuracy of the order could be improved. Overall, it’s a decent spot with some tasty items, but there’s room for better attention to detail.

Good sushi spot in Arlington. We stopped in here for a late night dinner. Had really fresh sushi. I got the Salmon Lover and it was really good. A lot of fresh salmon. My wife got the Spicy Miso Ramen which had good flavor, but the chicken in it was fried, which was a little off and soggy. Others in our party got the Titanic and Spicy Tuna rolls and they liked them.
The atmosphere was fine, nothing special, and the service was just ok. I’d prefer Toryumon over this for the ramen for sure. Sushi was similar at both, but maybe a little fresher at Takeshi. Probably won’t be disappointed at either.

Came here on monday night and there was still plenty of seating for a large group! We ordered a ton of rolls and the Miso ramen. The ramen was just ok. The specialty rolls were our favorites! Good prices but service was kind of slow

Amazing Japanese food with lots of variety. We ordered bento boxes and they were incredible. Good prices for such good food portions. My family and I came here to celebrate my baby’s first birthday and they even played him happy birthday and brought out a sweet little candle for him. They were so kind and friendly and I would recommend it to anyone.

We love the sushi here, very fresh and delicious. We go there once a week or order from them when we entertain friends at home. I love their atmosphere too, but sometimes it has to be booked in advance or you won’t get a seat! Highly recommended for sure!

This place used to be one of my favorite sushi spots, but this was probably the last time I’ll order from here. I ordered two sushi sets and a shrimp wrap, and I received a notification in the app saying my order was ready to pick up . However, I had to wait 15 more minutes at the store to pick it up. I don’t understand why a sushi set would take almost 45 minutes from the time I placed the order to be ready, or why the app says the order is ready when it isn’t.
The food quality has also declined significantly since the last time I ordered. There was barely any ginger included with the meal. At many other sushi places, when you order a sushi set, miso soup is included for free, so I was surprised that they charge for it separately here.
I would not come back again.

The best Pork Belly in the DMV area. Only 18 dollars for a huge portion. So yummy. I will definitely come back to try their sushi and dumplings

The entire dining experience could be summarized as “unsatisfactory”, and this is a compliment. The party was warned that dishes will take longer to come out so a basic expectation is established, but no one would anticipate the dish would come out in 30 minutes interval. At the 90 minutes mark we received our third dish and was told it would be “a lot longer” until our next dish will come out. The restaurant will also enforce an uninformed 18% tips no matter what the party size is. There will be no choice given to you during checkout, they just swips your card. When asked about the enforced and uninformed tip, the restaurant said “it is just the system that does it, we can not do anything to change it.”
Please enjoy your trip to a regular restaurant where you will be receiving omakase eating interval and check. Definitely come if you you are on a cut, it is good to spread your meal across the day. I this case, spread your one meal across 2 hours.
