I used instacart for my orders from Irie Jerk Hut #1. Yesterday, I ordered lunch from them for me and my husband. The oxtails lunch was amazing, and the jerk rib tips dinner was even more so!!! Our problem was with the jerk chicken salad – it looked NOTHING LIKE WHAT WAS ADVERTISED!!! The photo on the left was the photo describing the appearance of the salad; the picture on the right is the mess that was delivered to my house!!! This salad on the right looks like they put together leftover scraps and substituted carrot slices for the tomatoes and cucumbers because they ran out of the actual ingredients for the salad. I am very disappointed in this, and while I would purchase from them again, I would NEVER EVER waste my money on their salad because they don’t put in the appropriate effort into honoring the appearance of their salad; it looked so unappetizing i couldn’t eat it!!!

Came from out of town to try this place. When I called in, the lady that answered was rude but when I came in they were nice in. I ordered the jerk chicken combo with plantains and cabbage which was seasoned to perfection! I came a few days later to do 3 orders to bring some to my friends in Detroit and there was a mix up and they gave me the mixed chicken. I tried it and didn’t like it because it had a burnt taste but it was tender. And I also ordered their macaroni in which I highly recommend you not to buy lol. But I definitely recommend the jerk chicken combo.

I ordered the jerk catfish lunch special and was very underwhelmed. The macaroni and cheese tasted like it came from a box and lacked flavor, while the yams were just okay. The overall meal was overly salty and mediocre at best. I was also surprised to be charged 66 cents for a single piece of bread. In addition, the customer service was poor — the lady who took my order was rude and unwelcoming. Unfortunately, this experience was a disappointment and not worth the time or money. I will not be returning.

I ordered through Door Dash. I had the ox tails, beans n rice, cabbage, and Mac n cheese. When I received my meal, it was still hot! The food was delicious!!! Meat tender and seasoned well! The amount of food is for two servings for me. I really enjoyed this meal!! Only thing: I needed a piece of cornbread!

I already started eating my cabbage anywho. I ordered the white lunch with cabbage and yams. This is by far some of the best jerk food I’ve had. Everything is flavorful, seasoned well, and you can tell this was made with love. Ten outta TEN I’m going to definitely recommend!

The food is good. But I paid like 30$ for oxtail meal. You only get 3 and 1 of them was the size of my thumb. There was no gravy at all. None. Bone dry. I understand paying extra for extra gravy but gravy should come on it. I drove over hour to get my food just to be ripped off. Although their food is good, idk if I’ll order from them again. That pissed me off.

You asking them questions and they don’t even know what comes in a product some days, the fish be so bogus and dry then when you tell them they try to talk to you nasty and don’t never use your credit card here you will start seeing charges on your credit card.
