This place was a very huge disappointment…. in my old age, I should learn to trust my gut…they didn’t have a drink menu ,so u have no idea what you’re purchasing or the price of it & we ordered food that neva came (after an hr. went by) there were several people getting up & leaving , based on the same experience & they diabolically put the gratuity in the bill for the 2 drinks we ordered (u live & learn) atmosphere was great tho

Jah was the best bartender/ waitress! Service was beyond excellent. We were greeted warmly the minute we walked in and immediately sat at the bar. The decor/ atmosphere is truly amazing loved all the decor details. We started off with the Louie oysters and the grilled buffalo dirty wings, then had the cajun pasta and mussels. When I tell you everything was a 10/10 I was so excited to try everything. Definitely will be coming back here 🙂

Food was very good. We had the catfish bites, Louie oysters, stuffed shucked oysters, calamari in Thai chili sauce and took home some tacos. Bartender was polite and made good recommendations. Drinks are on the pricier side but they were good. I’d return on a day like today when it was quiet with the game on. If you enjoy grilled oysters and cant hop to Nola, this is where you’d go.

I found out about this spot and decided to check it out. The owner and Anthony were very welcoming and friendly. I ordered the raw oysters and my friend ordered the garlic mussels. Both were excellent and fresh and we were there late in the night. I love oysters so I’m happy I lucked up and found this gem. Would definitely go back. I want to check it out when the DJ is there. There was a nice crowd in there for a Friday night.

Came here on Sunday afternoon a couple of hours before a concert. This is the perfect place to eat prior to a concert. It is right around the corner from the Prudential Center. There was no way for me to make a reservation online so I took my chance. I was there with two other people and we were lucky to get enough to get there when we did. The place started to get packed quickly. We got a table on the top floor (there is a bottom floor).
Our waitress/bartender CiCi was great. She was busy but still attentive. We got Louie Char Grilled Oysters, thai chili wings Catfish nuggets, fries and burger with fries. For drinks, we got blueberry lemon drop martini and margaritas. Both drinks were tad a bit too tart and not strong enough. Our food was delicious. Though I wish the fries were shoestrings fries and it they had a parmesean truffle option.
Great place to listen to music, have some good food and drinks before a concert at the Prudential Center

Stopped in before Devils game on 11/24. Glad we did, small simple menu. Sliders, wings and some larger entrees. My wife had the lamb chops which she really liked. I had the spicy chicken sliders. They came with a spicy sauce and coleslaw on bun, what a good time and great meal before the game. Vibe is good, I would definitely recommend this spot.

I’ve been twice now. The staff sucks. I’ll be honest. They don’t greet you, despite having a station where someone is supposed to greet you. It’ll take a while to be acknowledged and you have to guess what to do next. I’ll guess the owners probably are also the servers because they work like they have nothing to lose. The music is SUPER loud. Feels less like a speakeasy and more like a sports bar. However, the oysters are BOMB. Despite the horrible service I’ll probably be back lmao.

The best bar in town! We were visiting for three days and found this hidden gem! The atmosphere is amazing, playing upbeat music, the food is to die for and the service is out of this world! Their charred oysters are a must try! The catfish bites are delicious as well! Also don’t miss the onion rings!
The staff treats you like family! We simply loved it!
We decided to go again on a Friday night and we were not disappointed! Great drinks, food and amazing service! If you want to dance you can go to the bottom level. They have a DJ on Fridays and Saturdays!
We will be back and highly recommend Black Oyster!

I remember this spot being a soup shop before the pandemic but what it is now is cool. Great vibe. Great music. Great staff. Great food. We had the maple buffalo wings and the sweet spicy wings, it just melted in your mouth. So savory and definitely hit the spot. Also had some catfish which hit the spot with whatever sauce they brought out with it. Would recommend as a spot to try.
