Breakfast was delicious and filling. You definitely get your money’s worth. Tenderloin and hash was excellent. Both kids had the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs and we’re very satisfied. Wife had the Southwest Omlet and had to put the leftovers in a box for later. Will have to visit again next time we’re at the lake.

First time eating here, easily the best breakfast in the area. We had eggs florentine and the roost classic combo and everything was as we ordered and tasted great. Service was responsive despite being busy on a holiday weekend. Will definitely make the drive here again.

Nice, cozy place. I have been there a few times now and have really enjoyed my food each time. Nicely varied menu with options not usually found in a place like this. The staff is very nice as well. Can’t wait to try their pizza! I do hope they have broader hours in the summer and I imagine they will. A+

Easter brunch was amazing! Super friendly when I called for the reservation. Excellent service from the moment we walked in to the moment we left! Food was exceptional. They had a special Easter menu. My large group of 8 was served timely with signature drinks, appetizers, and entrees. The entire experience was perfect for my family. Thank you for making my holiday wonderful!

Service was great. Food was excellent. Prices were good. My only complaint were the flies. There were a ridiculous amount of them, near the window where we were seated. It got a little better after we switched tables. The staff should have attempted to get rid of them, before opening for the day. Kind of puts a damper an breakfast, when you have the little guys buzzing around your food. Gross.

The Roost is a hidden gem of Wisconsin. It’s kind of out of the way, not much to look at on the outside, and if you aren’t local you’d probably never hear of it.
As soon as you walk inside your expectations will change. It’s a very nice dining room and to you can smell fresh coffee right away. I’ve only ever had breakfast here and I’d be happy with just that but I hear their dinner specials are amazing.
This place cares about food. I order the country fried steak with country gravy, hash browns, eggs, and pancakes (yes that’s one menu item haha). It’s the best breakfast steak I’ve had and you can taste the eggs are farm fresh. Their coffee is fresh ground and super smooth. I can drink it black which is rare for me.
To sum up you should give this place a try. It’s worth the eight minute detour off highway 53.

We drove over an hour away for Father’s Day breakfast. I was very disappointed. The staff was not very friendly, we waited a long time for food. I got the lobster scramble. I was not impressed. My son really liked the banana bread french toast. We ordered him a second order. This came out cold. The waitress said she would let the cooks know, but no apology.

Great atmosphere, great food, great daily specials. Go to the Friday fish fry! Its all you can eat and good! This is where the locals eat and for good reasons, the prices are fair the staff is very nice. The owner likes to walk around and get your opinion on his food which shows how much his restaurant means to him!

Some of the best homemade crab cakes I’ve tasted! Fish is amazing also. We try to stop in and out of travels to the north lake area! Setting is beautiful with views of the woods, and flowers surround. Deck seating a plus on a nice day!
