I usually never do reviews but this place is so so so horrible I absolutely HAD TO WARN the public!!!!! So the Queen creek location we have ordered 3 total times and in those times our food has been set out over an hour earlier then the pick up time, the food is old and not fresh….. the tacos are all watery and the guacamole was BROWN!!!!!!! We have tried several times to give them another try and no matter what this place fails so so badly! The staff is an older lady and she is so so rude she blames everyone else for the reason why orders were not put out on time and she has a horrible face like let’s put that on the front line of customers! Really? The food is NEVER fresh here it’s like that make it once and it sits all day and is just heated up. The cafe rio by the San tan market is fresh, people are nice, they have pickled onions, they don’t make your food soggy this place in queen creek needs a total REDO because it’s a complete mess! What a waste of money honestly anything I would have eaten would have been better! We won’t ever be coming back to this one again! Shame on this place! Totally disappointed! 8 thumbs down!

We are so glad they opened this location so close to our house. Every time we’ve visited the staff has been friendly and its been a great atmosphere to visit. We really like the new bowls they came out with and the quality has been great as well.

3/26. Do not go there past 8:30pm. I stood in line for 10 minutes for them to tell me they didn’t have any shredded chicken warmed up. Then more people came in and then they started cooking more food. There were not any special juices left, no rice, old dried out steak, and they asked for a tip when I was paying. I should have never ordered from here. The chicken after they warmed it in a bag looks so soggy and gross. Horrible experience this night.

I usually only leave positive reviews. These places can be hit or miss. We ordered two chicken salads for takeout, and mine had no chicken at all. I was halfway through eating before I realized it wasn’t just stuck in one corner—it simply wasn’t there.
I had hoped to leave feedback in the app so maybe they’d add extra chicken next time, but the “rate us” option only asks for my info so someone can reach out. I’m very non-confrontational, but it’s frustrating to pay full price and miss the best part of the meal.
I was just starting to choose this place over Chipotle the last two times, but looks like Chipotle is where I’ll stay.

The freshest, most authentic, food in the valley. Mexican or not! The owner will have you feeling like you are eating in his home kitchen. I’m a white dude and he could tell I haven’t experienced much of mexican culture so he offered to take the time and make me a dish from his home region of Hildago Mexico and of course he didn’t even ask for money. He just wanted to give me the experience.

This has been the best experience from any other Cafe Rio and compared to most restaurants I’ve experienced in such a long time. The staff are amazing – their energy, attitude, happy to be there, feels like a team and family and they welcome you with such enthusiasm. It feels like your experience really matters to them.
They let me take a photo 🙂 – and hope someone can capture their chant on video if you order nachos. Fun, nice touch – by the whole crew behind the counter.

i LOVE cafe rio with my whole heart and every single employee!!! The food and customer service is like no other!! I truly enjoy eating here, i never had a bad experience, and this location takes #1 in Az and my heart!

The staff were kind but the place was just not working. None of the items I ordered had ingredients ready at 7pm. Had to wait for them to heat things up and cook. Then I was greeted with the tiny portions and way too high prices before sitting down and finding hair in my food.
