Since it was a newly opened chicken restaurant, I ordered takeout last month and enjoyed the food. We visited the restaurant in a group during lunchtime to eat there, and the friendly server and manager came over several times to explain the menu and make sure everything was alright.
There are many unique and diverse menu options, so I plan to order something different next time.

Very clean, friendly staff, and the food was great. I would recommend the chikinjip fries (spicy), tteokbokki, the chikinjip signature boneless chicken, and the soy garlic wings. Big upgrade to the Madison food scene!!

Was a little loud but the wings are fantastic. Not a fan of the sweet seasoning they put on the fries. And the Beef Bulgogi wasnt as spicy as I hoped. But the Bulgogi bowl was so good. I bit price. But had plenty of leftovers.

Chicken is fantastic! Light and crispy with tons of flavor. The spicy sauce is good with a heat that builds. Got the “Yangnyeom & Fried Boneless Large Combo” and it was ~$35 for a quite large 2lb serving of chicken, our table of three couldn’t finish it all! (Photo is after some some chicken was already eaten. Actual portion is bigger than the photo)
They have few choices for beers and sous, and a whiskey drink as well.
Service is great, above and beyond. They made kid’s chopsticks too! Service was also quick!
Atmosphere is great! Has some TVs with various Kpop on in the background. Feels very fun and grounded in korean street culture.

Very nice place. All the workers were friendly and greeted us in Korean as we entered. Definitely keep an open mind, the fries were heavily seasoned and the chicken was a little bit too crunchy. We both got a size small, and we had a lot of food leftover. I’ll definitely comeback and try something different!

I recently visited Chikinjip, and it instantly became one of my favorite Korean chicken spots in the area. The chicken was incredibly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned perfectly. Their sauces were flavorful without being too heavy — especially the soy garlic, which was addicting!
The seasoned fries were incredible! Crispy, well-seasoned, and slightly sweet and spicy in that classic Korean style. They paired so well with the chicken that I could honestly come back just for the fries alone.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and the service was fast even during busy hours.
If you’re craving authentic Korean fried chicken, Chikinjip is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!
