I think this place suffers from an identity crisis, is it a burger joint? A Mexican place? (Not really more of a texmex.) A steak house? American diner? You try to do too much and get nothing right. You’re out in the middle of the desert, people will still come for that one thing that you get perfect. I was not sure what to order, I went with a burger, sad to say they were out of frys. Nothing special about the burger, tasted like something you buy at Sam’s and throw it on the grill. The only waitress/ cashier/busboy/hostess, was so busy it took forever to get the order in, but she definitely looked and acted like she does not want to be there, a smile and an apology for the wait time goes a long way.

So I ordered a tampiqueña thinking i was going to get a juicy steak and good amount of rice and beans definitely not that. I was given a very small scoop of rice and beans. No tortillas and the steak was a pork steak which was smaller than the palm of my hand. If I would of known this was what i was going to get served I would rather of cooked at home or heated up a ramen cup. Seasoning of steak was super bland. The beans and rice were pretty good but like i said barely any portion. 0/5 I would not recommend at all. The horchata was the best thing in there. The lady next door of the hotel recommended this place and I wish she hadn’t.

Very bad service, the girl who helped us was not friendly it seem like she didn’t want to be there, we asked for a water NO waters for a sweet water she said a I can only give it to go but not to drink there like what really. Food was cold they didn’t even take the time to microwave it. Got some rice to go it seem like it was the left overs from earlier. Definitely won’t recommend it. Prices are super high not a good place to eat.

Food was great. I had beef tacos my wife had chicken enchiladas. Both very good. Green sauce is hot. Wait time was a little long but the food was worth it. Pleasant atmosphere. Worth going to again if I am in Presidio Texas.

Asked for a chicken fried steak. Got grilled chicken. It was very dry. Not breaded, no gravy. Waitress never offered refills. They took too long to bring us our meal.

This was rated highly by locals and tourists so we stopped on the way to Big Bend Ranch SP. Pretty dining room, friendly service, and great food. Chicken quesidilla was wonderful (although I had to take half home) and the combo plate was very authentic and tasty. Heartily recommend the Oasis restaurant!

Not so good. I had the chicken fried steak and the breading completely came off, the meat tasted frozen and it was smothered in gravy. No flavor. The rest of the family the same for their plates. The service was really slow and there was only one cook.
