First of all these rugelach are delicious, we got a carrot cake to go. Met the owner and you can see his pride in product. I bought some to share at work too. You need to try it!

This place has the best rugelach I’ve ever had! I also tried most of their other baked goods and they’re all delicious! I’m not a big cheesecake fan, but their cheesecakes are awesome! Not too sweet and the texture is just right. Kevin, the baker/owner is super cool and friendly too. This spot is my favorite destination for my dessert needs. I highly recommend.

The “rugelach” tasted very fresh. You have to try the chocolate and raspberry. They are like little cookie/croissants with walnuts inside. Menu wasn’t up yet, so I got a bit confused and had to ask what they had. I tried their coffee also, it definitely was just made and had a strong smooth taste. They also have cheesecakes that appear to be freshly made and very fruity. I didn’t get a chance to try them. Maybe for next time. It also appears they will soon be making smoothies and drinks. Very spacey interior and juice bar. the owner was very nice. Prices are suitable for the current environment and reasonable prices. I also had the jersey turnpike smoothie, very tasty.

This place is amazing the service and the goods are top notch. I never had Rugelach before and without hesitation he gave us samples. I bought 8 of them. Even when leaving he added pecan sandies as quick samples. Worth the visit and will definitely be thought of when I want a treat. Give him a visit asap you won’t regret it!

What are Rugelach (pronounced rug-a-lah)? It is a Yiddish word that translates to ‘little twists.’ These crescent-shaped flaky pastries are layers of filling that might look complicated, but the dough is quite simple to put together and popular among American and European Jews. Located in a small strip mall off of Route 46 West at the former site of Just Grapes in Elmwood Park, my partner and I came here after reading several reviews. Upon entering the Rugelach Shop, the delicious smell of baked goods filled the very spacey interior, along with their recently opened juice bar, where we were greeted by the owner, Kevin. The owner, while not of Jewish heritage himself, embraces and respects the richness of Jewish culinary traditions. From the traditional techniques passed down through generations to the distinctive flavors that tell tales of family kitchens. The menu featured rugelach, red velvet cake, lemon-toasted coconut cake, cheese cake, and carrot cake. Wash them down with nice, healthy protein shakes, smoothies, or juices. Complimentary chocolate rugelach were given to us for sampling. It was warm, buttery, and homemade. We decided on some apricot and raspberry rugelach, making a satisfying breakfast when accompanied by tea or coffee, as well as a slice of the lemon toasted coconut cake to take home. The prices were reasonable, the staff was friendly, and the service was quick. We can’t wait for repeat performance and can recommend this place.

The rugelach were EXCELLENT. Even now, days later, I am thinking about ways to get my husband to take us back there for some more sweets (he hasn’t had one yet, and if he did… well, you guessed it, we would be there as I type this). Kevin, the owner, was such a welcoming soul, and the moment my mother and I walked through the door, we were greeted with a smile and a warm ambiance. I used to work in a couple of bakeries, and these were the best rugelach I have had; the proportions of walnuts to raisins, cinnamon, and dough were on point. I have been recommending this place to all my friends and hope to come back for any and all reasons, just to have one more bite.

The best Rugelach’s I’ve ever had. Perfect buttery to flaky ratio with just the right amount of nuttiness. I had the apricot and chocolate flavors. Yummy are Rugelach’s and amazing is the owner (the guy on the logo), he is very generous gave me to try raspberry Rugelach and few other items. The ‘pecan sandies’ are my new favorites.
If you are the in the area don’t miss these.

We got the assorted ruggelach and the carrot cake for Thanksgiving. Everything was ready on time and delicious. I would have liked more icing on the carrot cake but others thought it was perfect as is.
