Ellie’s Pizza in Wakefield surprised me in the best way. I visited my sister who lives here and wanted a simple, casual supper. I was originally searching for a spot that served rice bowls, and Google Maps pointed me to this place. I walked in expecting a standard pizza parlor. Instead, the menu opened into something far larger than I expected. The pizza selection is enormous, the subs menu is huge, and there are items far beyond what a typical pizzeria carries, including bowls.
I ordered the BBQ Chicken bowl. It arrived more like a deep dish plate than a bowl and the portion size blew me away. At $16.50, it was an absolute steal. The flavor was rich and full. A bit salty for me, but the quality of the meat stood out.
Bowls are clearly not their specialty, which only makes me more curious about the rest of the menu. The pizzas look incredible and the range of options for hot and cold sandwiches, subs, pasta, white dishes, calzones, wraps, panini, dinners, and daily specials is huge. They even finish with a full dessert menu that includes dessert calzones.
For a place tucked quietly behind a main street, the dining area has more room than you would expect, enough for families and larger groups. Ellie’s feels like a surprising find in a quiet corner of town.

I have ordered from here 4 times in the last few weeks. I have to say that the quality of the food is fresh great flavor. My order was am cheese pizza and a Greek salad with their homemade house dressing (I could drink it!) and I got a small roast beef. But the customer service was great! I had a very small issue and it was resolved immediately and I am waiting for my order now. If you haven’t tried them give them a try you won’t be disappointed. A@95audubon rd

I was standing in line waiting for my food and a customer ahead of me was being pretty rude about their order. The owner stayed completely calm, listened, and worked to find a solution without raising his voice or being disrespectful. It was honestly impressive to watch how professional he handled the situation.

Today I tried the steak tip sub at Ellie’s Pizza Place in Wakefield, and it was an absolute hit! The steak tips were perfectly cooked—tender, juicy, and flavorful without being greasy. They piled them generously onto a soft, toasted sub roll that held everything together without getting soggy. I paired the sub with Cajun fries and the combo was delicious! It’s a hearty, satisfying meal that doesn’t leave you hungry afterward. The service was very friendly and quick, making it an all-around great experience. Highly recommend this spot, their menu has plenty of other options! Definitely coming back to try more items on their menu!

Sneaky contendor for top 5 beef spots on the north shore. I think these guys need to work on their advertising because it was a truly delicious beef and I think more people need to know about it. The beef was rare and melts in your mouth. A little light on the sauce but otherwise a really good beef.

I am new to the east coast and the Boston area and there TONS of pizza places. I was in the area and smelled the quality of this pizza. I went back there a few days later and ordered dinner for the family. It did not disappoint. It was amazing, made on time, and the staff was quick and efficient. I found my new pizza spot. I can wait for my friends and family to enjoy it with me!

In one year of writing reviews and taking photos this was our tastiest experience yet. Albion served us the most delicious food around with a level of hospitality that, so far, is unmatched. We had the Roma panini which was a mouthwatering piece of grilled chicken cooked to perfection, with fresh mozzarella cheese, topped with a succulent pesto, inside a soft perfectly seasoned Panini. Next we had the Red Passion salad, which was incredible with strawberries, goat cheese, pistachio, & beets over a fresh bed of greens. Finally we had one of Ellie’s Special Pizzas, which was chunks of soft, tender pieces of eggplant, roasted red peppers, garlic, pesto, artichoke, & fresh mozarella. If we could give Ellie’s a thousand stars we would. This is the best food around. We will definitely go back there and we suggest you do too!
