What a gem! The staff were kind and generous, with quick service and a great attitude. The food was cheap and very good quality. I particularly liked the opinion rings. Cool unique atmosphere and pretty large menu. I’d recommend this place on a day trip as a nice stop.

Mayberry Drive In is easily accessible from both North and Southbound US Highway 52 ( Andy Griffith Parkway ) . You can pull in and order from curb service to go, to eat in your car or eat at one of the picnic tables. You can also go inside to order to go or eat at one of the picnic tables . They have barbecue and ground steak sandwiches and plates, a variety of burgers and other sandwiches including pork chop, chuckwagon steak and breakfast sandwiches. They also serve footlong hot dogs and a giant cinnamon bun.

Excellent food with southern hospitality. Pull up to the order stand and order from your car. Like Ole style where cop hops bring the food to you. Sometimes, they offer special events like classic car cruise-ins. Give them a try…. Be sure to save room for desserts and/or a milkshake to go with your sandwich.

This was a gem to find after my doctor appointment. We drive an hour away monthly to get to Mount airy now for my Dr. Will be making this our dinner choice often. Only complaint is the kids meals LOL. DEFINITELY do not unless it is small kids. Like 2 or 3 or they won’t be full. The kids burger is small just as it’s called. Other portion sizes for meals don’t seem large compared to BBQ joints and things like near our home HOWEVER the prices are no where near the places at home either so I think it’s fair for what you’re getting. Taste … Amazing. Our son stole my onion rings. He normally won’t eat onion rings. We all about fought over those. Just all really good food that we tried at a great price. I’m also a huge Andy Griffith fan so the nostalgia was adorable

I always enjoy Mayberry! The love started when I was a student at Salem College! They had a restaurant on campus, thar was my place before class after work. There’s nothing like a hot bowl of bean and bacon soup with your sandwich!!❤️❤️

Food wasn’t the best in my opinion but it was very nostalgic. Got to see a police car from Mayberry RFD the TV show and a cutout of Barney Fife. Interesting little town.

This was such a great find! The food and atmosphere are very nostalgic. The prices are very reasonable and they have great variety. Our waitress was very kind and service was fast. I had the pork chop sandwich combo. It was tender and juicy and the fries are seasoned well. My husbands burger was also good. I will definetly be back to try the other menu options!

We stopped in to get a shake and some pup cups for the hounds and ended up sampling some mini-burgers and corn dogs too… A classic drive-in out of yesteryear, with in-car ordering and delivery, fun “yard-art”, a newly installed picnic table, and everyone came out to oogle our basset hounds while they enjoyed their ice cream! Fantastic place, a true slice of Americana. Thanks for the visit!

We have wanted to stop in here. Seeing Barney in the squad car is a good way to bring people in lol. The lady who took our order over the speaker wasn’t very friendly and normally that would just make me leave and not even eat somewhere but we stayed. The chicken tenders are very tasty and super huge. I got 4 big tenders, fries, hush puppies, and Cole slaw for about 8.00. The onion rings were my favorite thing I tried. They are sooo good. Boyfriend had the pulled BBQ and said it was tasty. We would definitely go back. Hope she has a better attitude next time.
