From the moment we stepped through the door, Mr. Yun welcomed us with the kind of hospitality you rarely find anywhere, let alone in Laredo. His warmth made us feel less like customers and more like honored guests at his table. If any restaurant in the city needs a masterclass in customer service, this is where they should come to learn.
Every detail of our visit reflected genuine care and craftsmanship. Mr. Yun personally prepared each dish, guided us through the menu with honesty and passion, and brought everything out with perfect timing, temperature, and presentation.
I ordered the seafood soup, and it exceeded every expectation. The broth was fresh and vibrant, layered with clean flavors, and each ingredient was distinct and beautifully balanced. My wife chose the shrimp noodles, a dish both hearty and elegant. The shrimp were impressively large and cooked with precision, tender and bursting with flavor in every bite.
We ended our meal with freshly made spring rolls and dessert, each prepared with the same level of attention that shaped the rest of our lunch. Light, refreshing, and satisfying.
In every sense, this was an exceptional dining experience. A true hidden gem that treats food as craft and guests as family. If Laredo had Michelin inspectors passing through, Mr. Yun’s restaurant would be a standout.

Absolutely incredible! The food went above and beyond my expectations. We had the chicken & mushroom dumplings — packed with flavor and perfectly cooked — and the wok-fried noodles with chicken (plus mushrooms we added), which were absolutely delicious. The owner personally took care of us, which made the experience even more welcoming and memorable. This spot is a hidden gem for Asian cuisine, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

I had tried this place for the first time, and honestly this was the BEST CHINESE FOOD EVER! Everything was fresh and very DELICIOUS! I went with my mom and grandma; we loved everything we ordered, and the service was 10/10! The owner was very sweet, and you can tell he made the food with love! We will be coming back again! This became our favorite place to come eat!

Found this restaurant after searching online for Indian restaurant… Glad it came up, went there for lunch with the sis. Owner/Wait Staff ?? Was very friendly and greeted us right away. Once we placed our order, he advised he cooks everything fresh ✔️ ✔️. I had the Fried Noodles with Chicken & Shrimp minus asparagus. My sis had the Cold Noodles Mixed Seafood and Soup. Food came out in a timely fashion and had a superb flavor…Shrimp was good size and tasty. Once finished, I asked if the dumplings are made fresh, which he stated they are. I will definitely be back to have them. If I am not mistaken ~ he said he also makes the noodles, even if he doesn’t, they were fresh and good quality. Blessings ✨️

Heard about this place from an Orlando coworker who raved about the food when on a work trip to Laredo. Best Udon and dumplings I’ve ever had—the ingredients were so fresh and top quality. Norwegian salmon and angus beef. Right amount of heat and amazing flavor. Service was the talented and friendly owner so have patience as it’s made to order but worth the wait. Chill music and super clean inside. What a lovely gem!

I randomly found this restaurant today just cruising around waiting for my dry cleaning to be done. Let me tell y’all that what I ordered was so freaking delicious! I got the Sukiyaki Udon soup with chicken and vegetables and a side of pork and veggie spring rolls that were perfectly crisp and bursting with flavor! Guys and gals, I totally and 100 percent recommend coming here!!! You really won’t be disappointed ✅!!!

First time trying YUN! Delicious high quality food with ingredients picked by chef Joe himself. He says he consumes the same food as his customers, so he deeply cares about the taste and experience. We were fortunate to have him as our server when we visited! Very clean establishment with a couple of tables. I appreciated the ability to customize the spice to our liking. We ordered Kimchi (no msg/made in house), steaming pork dumplings (handmade/fresh), perfectly cooked white rice and the Japanese curry dish that was comparable to super authentic restaurants we used to frequent when we lived in Southern California, There are a lot of high end and casual Asian restaurants in Orange County. This is his hobby/passion and we really enjoyed learning about his fascinating, and extensive background in the Arts. I highly recommend it to folks looking for a genuine Asian cuisine experience on a plate…. next time I plan on ordering the noodles, soups, pork belly, and vegetable stir fry. Give it a chance, and be open to being patient since he’s working with a smaller staff! It’s definitely worth the wait.

I was In Laredo for work and in the mood for authentic Asian food. I had experienced other Asian restaurants in Laredo but wanted something more authentic and family business. Lo and behold I found just that at Yun Cuisine. I arrived 20 minutes early before opening and decided to wait. Good things come to those who wait. I started off with the chicken and mushrooms homemade dumplings with a special dipping sauce. Delicious! For my main dish I ordered the wok fried noodles with mixed seafood. As a Marine veteran I have been to Japan, Okinawa, South Korea and have experienced “authentic” Asian food. To my surprise the food arrived freshly made with fresh noodles, vegetables and fresh seafood no artificial anything. It was Delicious! I had the pleasure to meet Joe the owner and we had a great conversation. I thanked him for a great dinner and told him I would definitely come back and would recommend his place to anyone looking for “Authentic” Asian cuisine!

I ordered 2 fried rice w/ chicken, 1 noodles w/ shrimp, and 1 asparagus stir fry w/chicken , 1 pork & veg egg roll order.
The portions were very small unfortunately, 9/10 restaurants i have gone to and ordered very similar order usually is enough and left over. For 2 adults (slim build) and 3 young kids. This was not enough, and it was disappointing. The food quality, was good, not bad but we have had better. Just $70 for 4 of these sized plates, definitely not worth it in my opinion. Tried it, but definitely will not be returning.
