I recently hosted my siblings 30th birthday party at The Opulent and had a great experience. The Opulent is an excellent venue for private events like birthday parties, baby showers, and organizational gatherings. The lounge space was very nice and well-equipped with a full bar, TV, projector, lounge seating, tables, and LED mood lighting. The food was delicious—Singapore noodles, chicken fried rice, black pepper chicken, chicken wings, and burger sliders were all big hits with our guests.
The owner, Miru, and her staff were fantastic from start to finish. With a quick turnaround during the busy holiday season, Miru worked closely with me on pricing, menu options, and event details, and communication was always easy and responsive. The staff was attentive and reliable throughout the event. I would highly recommend The Opulent for private events—the lounge space comfortably hold about 80 people.

I had a great experience at Opulent Restaurant . The lamb chops were absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. The lamb vindaloo was equally impressive, with a rich, well-balanced spice level and authentic taste. Overall, the food quality was excellent, especially the lamb dishes. Definitely a place worth visiting if you enjoy flavorful Indian cuisine.

Definitely a hidden gem in Wilmington Delaware! The food, drinks, and interior design were on point! It’s giving club/lounge vibes except the food exceeds your expectations! We started out with several different appetizers so we could try a little bit of everything! My favorites were the Sichuan Chill Shrimp, the Kaichi Drums of Heaven, and the Opulent Sampler! I loved the presentation of the sampler and the portion sizes were great. We also got the Hot & Sour Soup which was super hearty with a nice spice level and the Asparagus Soup which was creamy and reminded me of a mix between potato soup and split pea soup. The star of the meal for me was their Butter Chicken!
Even reheating it the next day for lunch had me craving more! All of the drinks were great but I definitely recommend the Blueberry Lemon Drop! They use fresh blueberries so it doesn’t taste syrupy! They also host all kinds of events in their gorgeous lounge space!

It’s hard for me to put into words what an amazing experience we had here. Not only was the food delicious but the service was impeccable. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about everything on the menu and helped guide some of the less adventurous eaters in our group. There were many remarks made by our party about the chicken and lamb being the best they’ve ever had. I can’t wait to return and see what else they have to offer!

So I went to The Opulent on a Sunday evening, so it was pretty dead in there. I came to the door and no one was there to greet us, but once our waitress recognized us she was more than welcoming. This place is very well decorated and great for a photo op. The food was absolutely amazing! I will definitely be back especially since I heard they have more events and acts come in on Friday and Saturday nights.

My 1st experience was a friend’s birthday party!
So, I was on the reserved tables/bar side. I can only give this review on at this time.
The food was absolutely delicious and I will certainly order again the next time i make it to this establishment.
●Pros:
•The Buffalo Cauliflower was plentiful with just the right heat and tender.
•I also enjoyed the crab cake sliders on mini toasted brioche buns with the perfect amount of a very tasty spread.
•the DJ was absolutely incredible and KEPT the crowd on the dance floor.
•the photographer was capturing ALL of the angles.
●Cons:
Now, the bar service was EXTREMELY overwhelmed for that night. The wait time was ridiculous. I NEVER received my drink after an hour, I decided that it was a sign that I NEEDED to be dry for that night. ●Side note: I DON’T even drink!! I was just celebrating with a friend.
• there’s a $10 cover at the door on the lounge side.
•the decor and ambiance were quite inviting.
•the Singapore noodles . It was a bad night for this dish. The noodles were uncooked and hard, and they were stuck together. I totally wasted $25 on that dish. It was a hectic night for staff.
(Now, on the restaurant side, I noticed a monkey hanging from the vine or something! That was kind of weird! Maybe someone will explain.)
Let me back up! I was sitting at the front waiting for a friend to arrive. I saw a birthday party come in with a reservation for a party of 10. They waited for approximately 30minutes or so and was NEVER served… which caused them to leave the restaurant. The birthday girl was very upset about that horrible experience. The service was not what was expected, and that night, it showed for those guests who made a reservation for a special day.
•the place is way too crowded to have and ALL Zodiac birthday party. It should be a limit of honorees wach night. Maybe (4) four parties the most and their guests. Beyond (5) five, it’s entirely too congested. And unsafe, to be honest.

Food was Mediterranean and it had a very good taste veggies could have been better. Drinks on point! Line dances on the floor and help with the dances. Great DJ’s were in the house! Not a large crowd but someone was celebrating their birthday it was fun!

The Chicken Korma was so good with the garlic naan bread! The fried rice was also yummy. Some drinks were great and some were okay. The service was interesting… The employee working that night was bartending, bussing, taking orders and running food. I think I saw 2 other people working. It was almost a one-man show. Then the server stopped coming to our table and was surprised when we went up to the bar to order another round. To which he replied “really?”. After our meal and last round, they couldn’t produce a paper receipt but could text or email it.
It was really busy maybe because there was a live band called PureBred playing. The band was awesome!!!!!! The restaurant was not ready for all of the people I guess.
