We’ve been looking for a good Chinese restaurant since our favorite (Chef Ko) switched to primarily Hawaiian food. Decided to stop by China Delight for lunch and was so glad we did. Service was fast and attentive. The food was fresh and delicious. Portions are more filling than they appear. We got the sweet and sour prawns with steamed rice, broccoli beef with chow mein add on, and fried chicken wings. No leftovers in sight after-it was that yummy. Will be coming back often!

China Delight has delicious food, kind people & great service. You can eat in, or call ahead & pick up your food. Their food is clean, fresh & always cooked to order. My favorites are Honey Walnut Prawns, Vegetable moo shoo, Fried Rice, General’s Chicken, Dry Sauteed String Beans, Mixed Vegetables, Chicken w/ Orange Peel, I could go on but you get the idea. They also serve beer & wine.

Skip this place…
1) way over priced for very mediocre Chinese food
2) Egg Foo Young was just an omelette added to another dish instead of meat fried in the egg and the specific sauce. $18+ for one dish that’s not even made right!
3) Gave an extra star because the flavor was not so bad

Food is good. Try the chicken wings with sweet and sour sauce. Usually not too busy.

Ordered the sizzling rice soup & fried chicken wings. The large bowl of soup seemed like a small; however, was good. The fried chicken i must say was better than KFC with a perfect crunch.
Atmosphere got a 3 star only because the carpet looked dingy & the walls could be repainted to look a little more fresh. It’s slightly dated to the 90’s.
Overall, I’m happy with my services & would recommend coming here. ☺️

I’ve been eating at China delight for probably over 25 years. They used to be on homestead near San Tomas expressway where they ran a much tighter ship and the food was much better. Now, the food is a little soggy, a little oilier, not as fresh and or as tasty as it used to be and the ambiance is depressing. The walls are painted semi gloss yellow, it’s not a good paint job, if you look at the walls and ceiling you see every blemish, every tape joint, it’s simply very poorly put together obviously price bring their primary focus and the feeling telegraphs that. If the design and decor want bag enough, It’s hot and stuffy with no ac. When you go there, it just does’t have a good feeling or a good vibe, the food is mediocre at best. If you’re looking for quality Chinese food and a good atmosphere in Santa Clara you have to go to Lock Chun for tasty, light, quality food in a positive, upbeat setting.

My family and I have been eating here for years. We are glad they are back in Santa Clara. The food is very good and the staff are very friendly. I would recommend you try China Delight. I personally love the Beef and Broccoli. Update: We ordered Honey walnut shrimp, Pot Stickers and Shrimp Chow mein. It was so good! Not sure which was the best but we enjoyed all of it.
