We went to the bar pretty late, around 12–12:30 AM, and had a great experience. The service was good, and we enjoyed a couple of drinks while catching up with friends after a long time. We played pool and had an amazing time overall.
The servers and bartender were very nice, and even the other customers were friendly — it felt easy to talk and connect. We had our dog with us, and they were kind enough to let the dog in, which we really appreciated.
The food, drinks, and overall vibe were excellent. Even the street outside was nice for a walk afterward. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

Local watering hole with very limited options. The service was very friendly and the bar food we did have was good. The tater kegs were excellent and the wings not bad for frozen wings. This place is great for a small local bar. Just know that they pretty much just have the nationally available beverage basics. It was disappointing that there were not local bourbon choices or local craft beer choices. Also, the water tastes terrible, with a sweet taste coming from the dirty tap line.

Food was good. Burgers are delicious. Service was very good for lunch. It’s a bar so the lighting was very dark..even in the middle of the day. Definitely stop and check it out.

Stopped in as we were passing through to Belterra. We had the most enjoyable afternoon watching football with the locals! There were many laughs, met some great people and everyone was very welcoming. The bartender/cook/server did an excellent job and our food was delicious! We will definitely visit again!

Nothing indicates this is a smoking facility and especially not that it’s a 21 and up only facility. Drove 50 minutes just to find out we couldn’t go in with our kids. It’s a bar, not a pub and grub so name it what it is!

This was the first time I has been in this sports bar, I had been there a few times when it was the Riverhouse and myself and my husband was pleasantly surprised. There was one older couple and a couple other gentlemen there. We ordered the fried green beans and 1/2 lb cheeseburgers and friend fried and they were juicy and very good, everything was fresh and delicious. The waitress was the bartender as well and she kept our drinks filled and was a breath of fresh air very personable and all around nice. In this day and age customer service is pretty much non existent. Would highly recommend and will go back

Came in for lunch. Felt like they did not care for newcomers. Not a smile from the bartender. I think we interrupted her soap opera. We were going to eat lunch but one of us wanted breakfast so this was the only time the bartender perked up was to tell us the other places we could go instead of staying there…. a nice spot just need to be a local to be welcomed I’m guessing.

About a year ago we had a bad experience here as we sat down and were ignored by the bartender for a good 40 minutes as she walked right past us several times and never so much as acknowledged that we were there. Fast forward to about 3 months ago and we decided to give it another try and so glad we did. Since moving to the area we have tried every local restaurant we can and by far Boondoggles knocks it out of the park with their hamburgers, fish bites and delicious onion straws and more.
This past week we stopped in and I asked the bartender/cook/waitress if she could put a few onion straws on my double cheeseburger as a garnish. A few minutes later she brings out one the best burgers I have ever eaten! These weren’t traditional thin cut onion straws, more like mini onion rings but they were delicious and will be my go-to item to order from now on. I also love their fish bites appetizer. They always taste so good and makes me really want to try out their fish sandwich someday.
With the fish bites tasting as good as they do – with the breading and homemade tartar sauce, they should really see about adding fish and chips to the menu!
Our whole experience with Boondoggles has done a 180. What started off as a frustrating night of being ignored a year ago has now become one of our favorite places to pop in for a bite and bucket of beers.
Our only suggestion would be to maybe hire more staff! I always feel bad that the bartender is also the cook as well as the waitress. I know that these days good help is even harder to find so that might not be possible.
If you haven’t tried this place, give it a go. If you did try it and had a bad experience in the past, maybe stop in and try it again. We are so glad we did! And if you already know and enjoy this place like we do, we will see you there soon!
