Ordered fried wontons that showed up so burnt they were inedible and when I called they told me it’s from soy sauce (but these come with sweet & sour sauce). I also explained that I had received these before and they were never this color. At which point I was told they must’ve kept cooking in the bag while they were being delivered. They obviously didn’t want to take responsibility for their mistake and this will be the last time I go to Super Golden. They didn’t even attempt to apologize but instead began to argue with me. Please note this was also a $60 order; not some six dollar order that they couldn’t be bothered with

I spent $30 dollars on a Snapple, a soup and a “Large” order of chicken and broccoli. You tell me if I’m wrong but I received a MEDIUM lunch size container of chicken&broccoli, a small PINT of rice instead of a quart of rice. Which they serve it with the pint size bc it matches the small size of their large, that they try to pass off. Sauces and broth are okay, not really salty to be nice. Chicken was dry and not appealing. Broccoli was alright but small pieces and not much in it, sadly… Wonton soup was enjoyable, had a little fat in one wonton, whatever. Really though 2 stars and leaving a review if they didn’t cheap out even on the RICE. Put some love in the food please. Not worth your buck.

Meh. No flavour. This is second and last time I’ll be buying food from here. First time we stuck with only Chinese dishes, and I was not impressed with the lack of flavour. Every dish seemed to taste the same except the hot and sour soup, which is good. Second time, since we can’t find decent Thai, thought to perhaps try the Thai from here, hoping that perhaps even though it’s a Chinese ‘restaurant’, it may at least serve average Thai….nope, the red chicken curry which is supposed to be based on a coconut sauce, had not one hint of a coconut flavour, it was also far too spicey ‘hot’ that it eliminated any chance of the bland flavour to be experienced and the grease – it was so greasy it left a thick grease feel on your lips. The pad Thai is not pad Thai, it appears to be a pad Thai copy coated with watery ketchup instead of the proper sauces. I will give credit that the vegetable/fruit was fresh and cooked well. However would not recommend.

I’ve been going here for ten or fifteen years. It’s a great place and it’s actually gotten better over time. The ingredients are always fresh, the food is consistently great and the family that runs is friendly. It is the best Chinese food in Monmouth County. Standouts are the Triple Green, Pad Thai, Scallion Pancakes and House Special Soup.

My favorite takeout spot. Convenient parking across the street, food is always made fresh and on time. Wife and husband are the only workers and very hard workers at that.

Absolutely horrible experience tonight! I ordered 20 dollars of food for delivery online at 6:48 pm. I got confirmation of order and said 30-45 min. After an he I called to check on status of order. I was told, sorry we are very busy your order is almost done give us 10-15 min. I agreed, because my 5 yr old really wanted it for dinner. After 30 more minutes I resorted to making something else for my child and helping her to bed as she was already starting to fall asleep. Now 2 hours later I am so upset that the order still hasn’t arrived. I called store again and tried to cancel order and get my credit card that was charged 2 hours earlier even though they were so busy. They refused to cancel saying it was out for delivery. It took another 10 min to get her, was not very good either. Needless to say I will not be ordering for super golden again, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone!!

Really good Chinese food! Consistent, fresh and delicious, I have never been disappointed. It’s the kind of place you would walk past, or drive by. But once you try it, you become a loyal customer. A hardworking family keeps this place humming.
